. The Bombing casualties inflicted during the Last ½ Century of US Foreign Policy ................... has been truly Horrific But these people dont Even Need Bombs to Kill People
To answer the OP. The Nuclear NonProliferation Treaty gives the U.S. the right to have nuclear weapons but not Iran. As for Vietnam. Virtually all of the bombs dropped in Vietnam were dropped on largely uninhabited jungle areas. The thread starter has zero evidence to support the huge casualities he claims. The claims for carpet bombings of Serbia or Iran are completely false. The United States has not conducted large scale bombings of urban areas since earliy in the Korean War.
IS that right? What were the targets? Insurgent snakes? Early Al Qaeda? Just because the US block reports of civilian casualties does not mean that they do not occur. A conservative estimate for civilian murders at the hands of US cowards in Vietnam, cambodia and Laos is 1.5 million.
They did not die because of bombings for the most part. Most died in ground combat overall. And that figure includes the vast majority killed by the communist Vietcong and North Vietnamese. You're the one lying. You do not even know what a "carpet bombing" is. It is massive bombing involving a vast number of aircraft dropping thousands of bombs in a simultaneous aerial denial operation. If the U.S. was carpet bombing Belgrade when you where there. Then you wouldn't be here now. Case closed.
INCORRECT this figure is civilians killed as a direct result of US bombing. It was indiscriminate carpet bombing from B52s and people were literally vaporised. It was pure evil.
I agree that the US bombing of Serbia was more targeted than the genocide committed in Southeast Asia... However the bombing of Serbia was not only ILLEGAL.. it was pure cowardice. Not one Serbian soldier died from the bombing. 10 000 civilians were massacred.
Saddam's egotistical regime was butchering Iraqi Sunnis and Kurds by the hundreds of thousands before any US bomb fell on Baghdad. The situation in the Balkans is much more complex and NATO was wrong to intervene. However, you are acting rather simple. The Americans are not imperial in any way. In fact they had a chance at true empire and wasted it.
Prove it. From an unbiased source please. Prove it. From an unbiased source please. and why do you call a bombing "cowardice"? In a conflict of any kind, you do realize don't you that the military personnel from a nation are not obligated to deliberately expose themselves to danger?
This is another example of the leftist mind and how it seems incapable of understanding the reality of war.
So tell us "three_lions" Who understands the realities of War, Is it the Perp's or is it the Victims ?
What war is that? One in which the most powerful military in the world bombs a random little country that did nothing to provoke said bombing? Is that a war? Strange definition of war.
The US supported Saddam in his massacres. The US had no chance of empire. It is logistically impossible for the US to occupy serious sized nations thousands of miles from its shores. It can bomb the F out of somewhere... but that is all.
NO it did not. That has been well established. And the U.S. occupied Japan after World War II all by itself. By any measure, Japan is a serious sized nation thousands of miles from our shore. This is ridiculously easy. Of course, it is against a sock puppet of a banned member who claims that the Serbian military was some great force......
The US controlled global trade and had the strongest military by 1945. They dwarfed the Soviets and they could have secured Eastern Europe from Soviet tyranny. However, Truman did not want another war after the massive war that had just concluded. The Soviet state was all but destroyed by 1945. They were only a victor at Yalta because the US and Britain allowed them a seat at the table when they were carving up Europe after the war.
They did not occupy and rule Japan. There is a huge difference. Try doing that and get back to me... that would be fun to watch.
We've got the bombing thing down to a fine art. We have bombs like the Massive Ordnance Penetrator that weighs 30,000 lbs., and we have little 500 lbs. precision guidance bombs. The JDAMS come in 500, 1,000 and 2,000 lbs. increments. And don't forget cluster munitions and depleted uranium. America has a mission. That mission is to wipe out bad attitudes wherever they are found.
Not true .. I am afraid to tell you. The US (which is your controllers .. not you).. invent enemies so they can steal trillions from the gullible US public. Unlucky.
And I'm doing all I can to help. Whenever I see a bearded, turbaned fanatic or an Englishman I tap him in the little toe.
We wrote the Japanese constitution that governs Japan. To this day. If that isn't ruling, then I'm not certain what more you want.
Japan surrendered after the atomic bombs. There is no way that the US could invade and occupy any nation without dropping nuclear bombs.
Surrendered is surrendered. And the atomic bombs just hastened the inevitable. The inevitable U.S. invasion of Japan and starvation blockade would've killed so many people that Japan would surrender eventually anyway.
