Occupy AIPAC - March 3-6 2012. http://www.occupyaipac.org/summit/schedule2012/ Occupy AIPAC to Protest Netanyahus US Visit Occupy AIPAC, which calls for a new American foreign policy in the Middle East, Thursday kicked off a week of actions to protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus visit to the Unites States and his push for war on Iran Occupy AIPAC will urge Obama to reject the Israeli push for war on Iran and insist on respect for Palestinian rights. Events and protests will also draw attention to the role of AIPAC, the most powerful pro-Israel lobby group in Washington, in influencing US policy through its stranglehold over Congress. After 10 years of war, the American people need a foreign policy that focuses on diplomacy, but AIPAC takes us down the dangerous path of war with Iran, Occupy AIPAC organizer Medea Benjamin said. We are gathering to demand that our leaders break with AIPACs disastrous path of attacking Iran, as well as supporting Israels human rights violations and illegal settlements in the West Bank, said Benjamin. http://english.wafa.ps/index.php?action=detail&id=19168 AIPAC and the Senate's Reckless Resolution. Joint Chief Martin Dempsey in a recent CNN interview referring to the Iranians as a "rational player" stating that it would not be "prudent to attack" and that the US has "not concluded that Iran is an existential threat" and further that "a strike would be destabilizing." At the January 31st Senate Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, National Security Adviser James Clapper and CIA Director David Petraeus agreed that there was no evidence of Iran's nuclear weapon capability. Just prior to this weekend's AIPAC Policy Conference, thirty-five Senators (20 R's and 15 Dems) introduced Senate Resolution 380 "regarding the importance of preventing the government of Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons capability." Eerily similar to the 2002 Joint Congressional Resolution to authorize military force against Iraq, SR 380 reads like an unabashed pro-war tract, inflammatory and belligerent, as if eager for war http://www.huffingtonpost.com/renee-parsons/aipac-and-the-senates-rec_b_1313581.html AIPAC has refused to invite the fourth candidate, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), to speak, citing the precedent of the Republican Jewish Coalition which shuns Paul for his steady record of voting against assistance for Israel ... http://forward.com/articles/152371/ Occupy AIPAC: Saying No to K Street Control of Congress and War on Iran AIPAC has a reputation of bullying those who support real diplomacy http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rae-abileah/occupy-aipac-saying-no-to_b_1314559.html Obama, Netanyahu to meet, address AIPAC March 5 http://www.jweekly.com/article/full/64390/obama-netanyahu-to-meet-address-aipac xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Why Netanyahu's Visit to Discuss Iran Puts Obama in a Political Minefield President Barack Obama's reelection bid could face a stern test when he addresses the annual conference of the America Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC) on Sunday, and then meets with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the following day. Top of the agenda on both occasions is Iran, which has also been chosen by Republicans as the Number 1 foreign policy issue of the presidential race. And publicly aired differences in the assessment of, and strategies for dealing with, Iran's nuclear program have become a source of friction between the Administration and the Israelis. Netanyahu's leverage in the debate is boosted not only by Israel's threat to take unilateral military action if it deems Washington's efforts to restrain Iran insufficient, but also by Obama's need to remain onside with the flagship Israel lobbying organization -- which tends to take its cue from the Israel http://tiny.cc/0ur7l
Several problems with your anti semite comment. 1. arabs are more semitic than khazar / askenazi / convert jews, 2. zionism contradicts with orthodox judaism 3. AIPAC is a forein lobby with great domestic political clout and is legitimate to question, it would be the same if it were any other country.
Far left Anti-Zionist Bigotry exceeds anything the Far Right could ever have dreamed of accomplishing ...
Have you read talmud gator? that book is biggoted. ...and contradicts orthodox judaism, mosaic law, ten commandments etc. jewish scripture says the jews cannot return to israel until the messianic age. zionism is anti-semitic
And no proof. Color me shocked. And no proof. Color me shocked part deux Come back when you actually have some evidence.
Why don't you admit the facts on the ground? The Muslim world is the enemy of America. Israel is the friend of America. You kill your enemies mercilessly and you support your friends. That is how the world works. Quit supporting Muslims who hate us because we support Israel. The Palestinians are the BAD GUYS.. do you get it? It doesn't matter how many die.
If you need proof that Arabs are Semites, while the Khazar and Ashkenazi Zionists are European converts you have no business posting in this thread. Most educated people are already aware of this. You aren't. Colour me shocked.
In what way does "Israel" benefit the US? And why did they kill their friends on the SS Liberty? Why have they bulldozed over their American friends? Why did they execute one of their American friends on the Mavi Marmara in international waters? And don't forget all the friends that have died fighting wars for "Israel", we may soon add Iran to that list.
Sorry. I'm not crazy muslim who has been fed a steady diet of jew hatred and conspiracy theory since the time I was old enough to speak a language. You have been brainwashed your entire life by a false religion. Drop it and come into the 21st century.. please.
That's the problem. ALL extremism is based on narrowminded fears and hatred. We allow ourselves to fall into the trap of tarring a whole religion or group of people based on the actions of their extremists. But every single group has its extremists, whether it be muslims, jews, christians, capitalists, socialists, OWS protesters,...you name it... and they are twisted people taking some idea to extremes and then wanting to take it out on others. If we all fought our own extremists instead of our neighbors' extremists, we could make better progress.
How are the Palestinians bad guys? They are fighting for their own land where they have lived for centuries. They are not invading any country and are in fact resisting encroachment of what little territory they have left. Their only crime was not fighting the Jewish terrorists who founded Israel harder when they still had a fighting chance.
