more info?, what kind of autonomy was offered? looks like turkey will be last one on this issue http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13737946
It is too hard to believe. Kurds have no right to vote and no right to be elected in Syria. It is something like situation of middle-aged man, who never drank dense alcholic drinks, starts to drink direct vodka before tasting light alcoholic drinks like beer.
Yes, it's true but the Kurds declined for the following reasons:- 1. If the Kurds get in to terms with Asad, they will be hated among the opposition, and this is unlikely to stop the protests. 2. Once asad get's back on track he'd just go back on his word. For us the best thing to happen is for the Syrians to go to civil war, I know it's harsh, but that is the only way we can benefit from the situation.
^^ lets hope so , either way if Kurds get what they want which seems that way , even opposition who are mainly Muslim brotherhood and decline negotiating with Kurds , cant stop autonomy for Kurds , its fully back by KRG as well. i read that the next opposition meeting is in Greece and again Kurds aren't invited , which means Kurds can not deal with the opposition anyway , so the only option is number one .
Autonomy from Asad is pointless, he's time is over! we will be hated by the Average syrian! a civil syrian war is in our interest, as that means a destruction and weakness of the syrian army, then Kurdish autonomy will be meaningful.
I would like to see the Kurds Candidate (if they have a candidate!) get elected. Yes I am totally ignorant concerning their politics etc there. I have no idea of how the different groups parties are represented and how they 'stump', even the way their people are elected etc. I hope to have some time to dedicate to research on that subject soon. I say the above because its like Obama here, anyone but Obama. Anyone but the Muslim brotherhood, or any radical group because they will be a disaster, both to the people of Egypt and I feel they will destabilize the entire geo political atmosphere and geographical region. reva

the Kurds will be hated anyway, Syria is a home for the the most nationalistic Arabs in the world, panarabism will be always popular there
Did Assad invite the inevitable? Erdogan. He did not have permission for anything ever. fyntbtntbtntbtntbtgtohntbtntbtntbtntbt. How ignorant and rude.
Arabs are not suppose to drink according to the Qumran. Perhaps, they have no chance. fyntbtntbtntbtntbtgtohntbtntbtntbt.
Read my sentences below carefully. No right, especially democractic rights can not be gained by violence against people. That Kurds and you don't understand. If Kurds didn't create PKK terrorist militant organization or never bombing attacks to Turkish cities, they would have already gained their demands. Before laying down the arms, nobody wants to bargain with them. According to your logic we have to fight against them to save ourselves.
if Kurds dont resist military they ´d be the "mountain Turks" today. politically the kurds are stronger then kemslists
