The last time an ambassador was killed was in 1979 in Afghanistan.

Look all this attack shows is that Libya is still struggling after the overthrow of a dictator that no country cared for. It is sad, if the account is confirmed, but in the long run, getting rid of Ghadaffi was a good move.

The Libyan Govt has expressed their sorrow and condolences.. They are also looking for the maniacs who did this.

Meanwhile the Israeli fim maker is defiant, in hiding and states that US embassies should have better security.

This is the final nail in OhBama's coffin. There have been scores of events that signaled the coming end to his tragic presidency but this one event pretty much sums up the POS scumbag and his ideas for world and social justice. This is the result of a puke faced little punk ass b!tch who holds no allegiance to THE UNITED STATES, and who embraces our enemies, apologizing for colonialism and American exceptionalism.

This is the day OhBama's presidency died. Halle-(*)(*)(*)(*)ing-lujah

If you think having rival tribes kill each other and attack embassies is a good move i dont know what to tell you. Nevermind getting AQ another stronghold in yet another country......

Obama had NOTHING to do with this... The Israeli filmmakers knew it would set off riots but claimed they did it for their country..

    Here's an excerpt:

Though Bacile was apologetic about the American who was killed as a result of the outrage over his film, he blamed lax embassy security and the perpetrators of the violence.

"I feel the security system (at the embassies) is no good," said Bacile. "America should do something to change it."

A consultant on the film, Steve Klein, said the filmmaker is concerned for family members who live in Egypt. Bacile declined to confirm.

Klein said he vowed to help Bacile make the movie but warned him that "you're going to be the next Theo van Gogh." Van Gogh was a Dutch filmmaker killed by a Muslim extremist in 2004 after making a film that was perceived as insulting to Islam.

"We went into this knowing this was probably going to happen," Klein said.

Which is worse: having a dozen or so tribes fighting each other without a single, common enemy for them to concentrate on or having Ghadaffi funellng money to every known terrorist organization without inpunity?

No - the Klan didn't like him either, though he was a Southerner. If you want to avoid getting killed, give up imperialism: it goes with the territory.

OhBama set in place this entire scenario. You are blind, woman. President dick face is done. I feel bad for the ambassador, but his death is not in vain as it cements in history Carter V2. I couldn't hate someone more than I do the president. I will get drunk on election night when his pathetic ass is tossed out.

There are no mitigating circumstances for this barbarism. In the free world we have free speech and our countries are not accountable for what we say. Your implication that the USA somehow got what was coming to it ehre is utterly disgraceful. A crackpot showed a fifth rate movie to an empty cinema. This has now been publicized by a bunch of extremist bigots attacking US embassies, who have brought islam into low repute and killed four people in the process. They should be hunted down and brought to justice. And Libya and Egypt, no matter what early stages of development their democracy is in, should be made to feel the consequences of failing to protect foreign diplomats properly. Make their ambassadors persona non grata now, in Washington, London, Paris etc.. These are civilized standards. Those who somehow seek to blame American tolerance of free speech fall below such civilized standards.

What a sick post, cheering the murder of an American diplomat as useful to his agenda of hatred.

So what. Your equivocation on this subject is a disgrace. The murderers had absolutely no justification for their action whatsoever.

....Obama's experiment of leading from behind. It's on him. This is HIS disaster.

Qaddafi should have been taken out during the Regan administration, in my opinion.

However, he posed no threat to the U.S. under the Obama administration. If the Libyan people wanted him gone, they should have been the ones to do it.

The United States had absolutely no business getting involved in their affair.

Obama and his "leading from behind" BS in Libya, is nothing short of a disgrace... and obviously, a disaster. (Same for Egypt) in my opinion.

How can anyone continue to support the sillyass buffoon?! He clearly doesn't know what the hell he is doing in foreign OR domestic affairs. :puke:

Freedom of speech is not a license to incite and get innocent people killed. You may feel differently, but I wouldn't do it.

Was it inciting ? Instead of blaming the movie and the producers of it, how about we start expecting people to act civily in their disagreements instead of acting like animals ?

Of course. If it rains it is Obama's fault. If there is a hurricane it is Obama's fault... it is now very obvious that the hostility to Obama is by racists as there is no rational basis for the extent of the hatred.

But this should not make rational people give Obama a free ride here. He needs to be judged on his response now. And that needs to be forthright and strong. Let's see.
