And where is his internet connection getting it's power?

    No, it's a legitimate question.
I ask a lot of legitimate questions on here. I don't always get an answer Like when I asked why obama was touting the 'video is the cause of the Benghazi attack' lie a full two weeks after that fact?
(You mat want to get back to that thread and answer that one.)

Refer to my question to max.

depends on your service provider, verizon for instance uses engine generators at their cell towers, so even though they don't have commercial power, the E/G will provide power to keep the cell service up.

Blaming this disaster on them? No. The disaster was natures doing...the handling of the disaster is on bloomburg and Obama, and it appears it is becoming an even more serious situation than when Obama took off for Vegas after his fake photo op with the republican governor...screw NYC though because bloomburg and city are already in the bag. You just keep voting democrat and you And your city will reap what you sow.

Brace yourself America...democrats aren't about to let Obama take the blame for anything. Including letting 4 Americans die and then lying to the American people for weeks and weeks....than ignoring it all together right up till election day. Just one example I thought I'd through in.

Great example of inappropriate right wing tripe. But I have to say, worry less on global warming, just get safe.

Right wing tripe? So are you saying that only republicans care about 4 Americans dying horrible deaths in Libya while our POTUS watched and did nothing? Well it does appear to be the case now doesn't it?

It seems kind of desperate to bring up that issue on this thread. Let it go. I am sure you think Obama did everything he could to get those people killed, no matter how crazy that would be, but it has nothing to do with this storm and its aftermath.

No, I'm certain he did nothing and they died for it.
But, that's the difference between having a weeks notice of a natural disaster and getting caught with your pants down when your ambassador get raped and murdered.

Maybe you would like to point out where Black is wrong.

The ability to live off the land is not something usually taught in inner city schools.

What do you expect them to do in New York? Grow corn in the street?

That's the point. They are used to products being brought to their proximity. Just a 5 minute walk away. If they had to travel 5 or 10 miles to get their groceries they would probably starve.

For me, depending on the time of year, if I want corn I walk across the street and pick it myself.

They don't grow their own food. They buy it. Are you really holding that against them? Are you saying that farmers are more used to 'fending for themselves' just because some of them eat their own grown food? Where do you think the designs for their equipment comes from? How do you think tractor companies receive financing to produce on massive scales?

    Republican ignorance is laughable.

    Oh wake up.

Just because you are in the city it doesnt mean you cant be prepared. You can easily fit everything you need for 2 weeks under a bed where its out of the way - food, batteries, tape, a tarp, flashlights, radio, water bottles, garbage bags. Get a "water-bob" for the bathtub and fill it when you are warned, thats about 50 gallons of water. With a little bit of thought about what you put in your kitchen, a family can go for 2-4 weeks. Water is the only real problem, but with some planning its easy to solve that.

Oh look, Cloak creates a thread to say "(*)(*)(*)(*) you" to people politicizing Hurricane Sandy, and then politicizes Hurricane Sandy!

You seriously can't make this (*)(*)(*)(*) up, folks. I'd laugh at these clowns if they weren't creating so much destruction.

It would be much harder for city people to adapt to an agrarian society that it would for those of us that already live here. Well, kind of live here. I don't do any actual farming. I just make sure those that do, can.
The basic ideas for farm equipment come from the farmers themselves. Who would know better what they need to get the job done than those that actually do the job?
