No, it shows that the legal gun owners are not the problem, being that each country had a manditory gun buyback which took away about 600k guns each country from there legal owners. There is no way of getting the guns off the streets, and these countries show it.
Please elaborate more on this. Its not clear where your going with this. Sounds very paranoid to me. Your making a lot of baseless assumptions.
So that's your argument? No proof that gun control works anywhere, ever? Don't worry, I have knack for making gun grabbers look *ahem* silly shall I say?
I don't know any gun grabbers. but sure its worked in lottsa places. but hey, keep your guns. I love watchin all the handwringing everytime a bunch of kids are killed.
Name some. Find some places that meet your standards: they "did it right" when they eliminated guns, and doing so caused a clear reduction in crimes.
Every one of those countries live in thrall of the government. These countries have no secured Rights and are subject to the whims of government. I would have thought you knew that, since you come across as uber-smart. Or are you one of those who doesn't believe history exists? these countries are ruled by tyrannts and petty dictators. These countries also forbid ownership of almost every weapon that can be used to defend themselves from government intrusion or criminal cartels. You tell me.....how does one control their government? if they own all the guns, and you have none, how do you control them? again.............you know little to nothing about history. Since we both agree that you don't know history, then this is a waste of your valuble Farmville time.
yeah, name one...................just one that did not ever allow Citizens to own guns in the first place...............
here's your Police State lesson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpag e&v=fDCXzqgD99o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i5sDOdoFqg&feature=player_detailpage http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpag e&v=b77i9orw7CU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYjI138u1z0&feature=player_detailpage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S2uXBhFpCk&feature=player_detailpage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wHt5Wp8R20&feature=player_detailpage I've got thousands of these
So your stand point is coming from emotional response, which is usually an irrational reaction. No country has ever banned guns from the start, and no country has ever benefit from banning guns now. I am still waiting for some backing to your statement, but because such backing simply does not exist, I guess I will be waiting a long time. Do you know the percentage of guns that are legally owned or even stolen from a legal owner that are actually used in gun crimes/murders? Do you realize how many gun owners there are and how many guns are owned? Do you even know anything about guns or the gun culture? Do you even try to look anything up before you post so you can come with an intellegent post?
Unless he tries to actually back his argument with something substancial, at which point I will bring to the table something that buries it. I enjoy making these anti gun drones eat there own words, just chase em out and soon they know they can't counter the truth.
You didn't come 1/2 way at all, instead you tried AGAIN to compare the total number of guns to gun deaths which is about as useful as comparing the total number of cars sold to the number of drunk driver deaths there were last year. I'm not going to go dig up stats for you, look at what criminals use in crimes and where they get them from, you might (or should) be surprised at how many come from their friends and family. It's a bigger number than you might think.
Yes. I do want to force my "preferences" on the rest of society. .. you are lying in stating that lazafair gun sales have little negative impact on their uses in crimes. It's simple supply and demand. I would like to curb the supply side of this. Nothing wrong with that.
The stat you're describing doesn't back your claim that gun owners are irresponsible with their guns. I'll show you using a similar piece of logic. Look at the race breakdown of men in prison. More black men are in prison than any other race. Therefore clearly black men are a bunch of criminals and we should do something about regulating black men. But really, most black men are not criminals. This just looks at a tiny percentage of a population and makes a judgement against the rest. What you are doing with gun owners is even worse because you are judging a larger population using a smaller one. About a quarter of black men have done prison time, while .01% of gun owners have ever had their guns fall into criminal hands. You are judging tens of millions of gun owners based on the actions of a handful. So, unless you believe that it is acceptable to consider all black men to be criminals, you need to retract your comment and adjust your thinking about the 80,000,000 gun owners who've never had their guns fall into criminal hands.
I am not saying that gun purchases don't lead to increased gun crime statistics, I'm saying that the purchase of a weapon does not in itself harm anyone and so should be a free transaction for all. It's the intent of the individual and what he uses that tool for that can be abhorrent. In any case, you have no right to force me to cease collecting firearms or make that process more difficult for the transgressions of others. I have nothing to do with that, stop collectively punishing us.
Its illegal for a convicted felon to own a gun, but they still do, its illegal to straw purchase a weapon for someone, it still happens, why will more laws stop illegal use of firearms? It doesn't matter if you are unwilling to use the term ban, its very obvious that the left in America is determined to ban weapons.
