Which one is honestly more to blame here, video games or guns.

Too many guns around, its time to ban guns as violent video games aren't actual tools of violence.

 

Dude, I have TONS of guns. A small arsenal. And I have had literally hundreds of kids to the house, and not once has any of my guns been used by a child, or anyone else, to commit a crime.

 

Violent video games ARE tools of violence to the young, impressionable kids.......

 

Correct, and not every gun owner is an idiot who leaves their gun available to children. So they don't deserve to have their rights curtailed at all.

You do know I was blaming the parent in my post. The parent allow both situations to occur and if that parent has more children than a 8 year old, it is clear that CPS must now be involved to protect the kids from a very bad parent.

Exactly right! Exposure to practically daily violence teaches kids nothing but violence and they're getting a double whammy of it when they're living w/a violent parent(s) and violence on tv and video games...... that's the only lifestyle they know.

Most likely, this 8 yr old boy probably doesn't fully understand the concept of death. He saw the gun and he just did what he's seen on tv and the videos......

 

So are the parents going to be charged? Or are they just going to pretend this didn't happen? Or what? An innocent woman is still dead. Someone has to go to prison over this. This should not even need to be pointed out. It should be obvious.

 

Yeah, historically its been the right that has called for video game/movie censorship with a few exceptions like cigarettes in movies which is a left issue.

Clearly there is something else going on as there are lots of little kids playing these games, even though they aren't supposed to be........looking at you parents, and yet this is extremely rare. Definitely something else going on here.

 

Well if that is the case then the parents should be prosecuted. The kid might have been playing the game and as most kids do when they see a movie or tv show, wanted to play pretend. He might have figured that it was a toy gun and decided to play GTA with grandma. I am assuming of course that the kid was unaware that the gun was real of course.

 

I wonder if your brain is even capable of processing the fact that it is far more troublesome that a child has been influenced to want to shoot an elderly person point blank than to worry if a gun is available in proximity to a child.

Dumb liberal actually thinks that having a gun available to a child means that they'll actually shoot it. Liberal doesn't consider the potential infection of societal and cultural influence and poisoning which must take place to make it even POSSIBLE for a child - or anyone else for that matter - to actually pick up said gun and USE it.

What are you protesting against? I just said that the parents should be prosecuted. The 8 year old is never going to see a court room at most he taken away and put in foster care unless this kid has some legitimate dysfunction such as being a ginger.

 

It sure seems that the violent games are desensitizing children, and the lack of a healthy family unit is driving those kids to become gang members. The only difference between a black gang in a USA ghetto and a third world child army is that the gang has auto pistols and the child army has AK47's. Neither group has remorse, neither group values human life, and neither group is educated.
