The 19-year-old pop star sat down for an interview with Big Boy for Los Angeles' Power 106 station and made a statement that probably shocked lots of those Beliebers.

"New album ... uh ... I'm actually retiring, man," Bieber said. "I'm retiring, yeah."

"I'm glad you announced that," the host responded. "I'm not gonna even play nothing else but that."

"I'm retiring, yeah," he added, keeping a straight face. "I'm taking a ... I'm just gonna take some time. I think I'm probably gonna quit music."

Apparently, it was all just one big joke, according to Gossip Cop.

"Of course it's not true," a source told E! News of Bieber's supposed retirement plans.

Although it's highly unlikely he will leave the biz for good, Bieber is looking to change some things up in his career.

"I want to grow as an artist and I'm taking a step out, I want my music to mature" Bieber said.”

IMO: It would be more positive if Bieber himself matured. He and Miley Cyrus would make a great couple sticking their tongues out at each other.

And that false humility, and sweetness oozing from Bieber like Vodka fumes would be the perfect foil for Miley’s brash and bawdy persona.

Like Ted Cruz, Bieber should go back to his native land and forget about the United States...like, are they illegal immigrants from Canada or what? Or is Canada deporting their undesirables to America now?

Like, Cruz comes to America, gets into politics and shuts down the government while Bieber gets high and stops a performance stating: “I am a artist!” He needs to go to school and learn proper English. And grabbing his crotch like that is weird... I’m talking about Bieber now, not Ted Cruz.

We should export Bieber and Cruz now, and take Canadian Mayor Rob Ford, the crack cocaine user instead, he is sooo creative and funny. It's time that Canada sends us someone we can be proud of and shows some evidence of redemptive value.

The only thing worse than Bieber fangirls are Bieber haters. Who cares? Like most of the popular music industry, he's entirely manufactured. Let's move on.

The hate is fueling like 80% of his success.

 

I'm a little curious why "Justin Bieber" in particular has gotten so much hate - sure he makes mediocre pop/R&B music oriented toward teen girls, but how's that make him different from dozens of other mediocre commercial artists - he's just a 2000s version of the Backstreet Boys, big whup.

Same with Miley Cyrus - who cares is she made a "twerk video" or "nude video with a wrecking ball"? - there were Madonna Music videos from the early 90s that were more riske than any of her stuff (and plenty of stuff from the 80s and before) - who cares? I can't imagine anyone being 'shocked' by it unless they've literally never seen a naked woman before
