The only whites mentioned are the romans and some greeks and they were depicted as the enemy, brutal in their treatment and destruction of Israel. Why would whites want to read a history book about Afro-asiatic ppl?
Well, when it comes to the Jews, many who are now considered white intermixed with Europeans during their time so they come by it through family. The Hebrew Bible is a family album. Rome and many other European countries adopted Christianity as a faith so it is their book both the Hebrew and Christian Bibles. I don't understand your question
For arguments sake, lets say those jewish ppl who are 'now' white, lets say they converted to 'judaism'. Why did they do that if they lived in europe [and the bible is about Afrika/Arabia]? - - - Updated - - - Why did they do that when they had their own traditions?
Many people can look beyond race. I mean, you're not one of them so maybe you just can't see it. Based on your question that seems to be the case, but take my word for it.
all, your racist agenda continues. you have no evidence that the Israelites/Hebrews/Jews didn't look like modern-day Lebanese/Arabs/Kurds, many of which are light skinned. - - - Updated - - - let's remember that the OP believes that Noah and all of his sons, were black and that white people go that way due to lepracy or some other disease.
Oh right. You mean the logic that goes like this; the Israelites were white because jewish israelis are white. Yes iheard that one before. native americans were white too, as were aboriginal austrailians, as were south afrikans, as were Maoris and on and on.
you're being dishonest I never said the ancient Israelites were white. they most likely looked like the average modern-day Middle Easterner, who is an olive skinned Caucasian with dark eyes, and dark straight or curly hair.
yes iheard you the first time.. the Israelites were white because jewish israelis are white. -type logic.
not all Caucasians are white. Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, are Caucasian. but most of them are dark skinned.
My disinterest in the bible is not about race. Its two things. One is, I dont accept the premise that there is a god. Second, it is about one people's cultural experience. Now, it has some things in it that are common to all cultures, and that is of some minor interest. I just cant see myself adopting someone else's history as if were their own, even if it is rationalized as being for everyone. It just is not my history, its not my culture, and its not except by coincidence, my values. I live here, so I guess I am an American now, but G Washington is not part of my history.
My feelings too. To me, it seems those europeans that do adopt christianity or judaism, are like accepting a narrative out of, for example, Lord of the Rings, whereby they are happy of europeans/whites being depicted as the Cave Troll, or Sauron. Im like, mmmkay
Funny you mention this. It is something whites excel at. They have whole industries dedicated to it and its a multi million dollar business in the 'west'
lol Youve heard of the religious establishment, the evangelicals and christian community in america, the vatican in 'Italy' also, all institutions dedicated to cultural appropriation i.e white ppl cosplaying Afrikans and Asiatics. To a lesser extent is the hollywood mafia and their multi million dollar hoax that is the white israelite, the see through hebrew, not to mention the caucasian egyptian.
If you say you are American but George Washington isn't part of your history, than assimilation failed somewhere down the line. That's interesting. America isn't really your country, it's just a place where you have your stuff.
