We interrupt the pathological obsession over Israeli-Palestinian affairs to bring you news that Egyptians are once again taking to the polls today to vote for a new constitution. The vote is seen not only as a vote on the proposed constitution, but one on the military coup that was launched by popular demand against the autocrats in the Muslim Brotherhood. Like the previous referendum, portions of the electorate will be boycotting the vote: Live updates: Live updates: Egyptians turn out for key constitution vote; 5 dead in clashes http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsCon...es-Egyptians-go-to-polls-on-first-day-of.aspx Live updates 2: Egyptians turn out for key constitution vote; 9 dead in clashes http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsCon...es--Egyptians-turn-out-for-key-constitut.aspx
Your problem here has more to do with British anti-Semites, xenophobes and hypocrites, not Bedouin Palestinians, but let's stick to the subject of the referendum in Egypt...
UPDATES on the referendum. It passed with 90% support, Is that 90% of all who voted or 90% of all Egyptians with a right to vote ? 90% support is very common in certain regimes but.....for each his own right ?
Mmm....... The Egyptian military sponsored by the American dollar! Mmm,...... Mubarak installed as an American puppet by the Egyptian military, removed by popular demand and a democratic election! The Muslim brotherhood and Morsi removed by the American backed Egyptian military to status quo reinstated. What the hell do you expect, certainly not an impartial discussion! Highlander

Please correct me if I'm wrong, Gilos, but isn't that 90% figure an unofficial result? To answer your question, its 90% of the people who voted, and this constitutional referendum, like the one that took place under the auspices of the Ikhwan, was boycotted by its opponents.
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Don't let your xenophobia blind you from the inconvenient fact that millions of Egyptians took to the streets to demand Morsi and the Ikhwan's ouster before their military took any action.
Way to completely ignore the atrocities perpetrated by the Muslim Brotherhood against the Copts and the massive popular protests against the MB which is what prompted the military to step in and remove them from power in the first place.
90% of those who voted Gilos. and you are correct about those high percentages in regimes, but I believe the figures this time for the simple fact that those who didn't want the new constitution abstained. And public support of a yes vote was encouraged ( banners etc) but public support of a no vote was discouraged and in some cases outlawed.
I have a nice idea. Just putting the voting boxes of the yes and the no. It can easy to count of voting, it can see fair voting. Egyptians can vote the box each of they want.
Only if you believe your American puppets or American press, but your used to American democracy and we all know..... That doesn't exist! Regards Highlander
Aye.... But does that make a difference when your owned by traitors? You miss the point, but I suppose that's natural when you have no experience to integrity, honour, truth, all those nice things that you'd expect, unless your American. Highlander
