U.S.A. This is the Church of Choice. You don't have to believe in it or anything else our church believes in... that's your choice. But if you live in our church, we have a bunch of laws you must follow - or you will go to jail - or someone will kill you. There is no separation of church and state except who enforces the laws of our church... the Federal Church or The State Church.
There is no god besides the NSA and Victoria Nuland is their prophet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlttFBiFTow
If you choose to look at it that way I don't know of any laws preventing you from doing so. But our God is Choice. Some call it freedom. You can argue that it doesn't exist. I won't argue with that.
I don't know now what the context is you are using the word "god". The USA is for sure not god. For a philosopher for example the belief in god is a decision. I don't know what you think about if you say "God is [our] choice". I'm for example not able to imagine to live in a world without sense. I don't have any choice in this context. I'm able to be happy in a world of beauty, truth and love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nxv9YsVvXAM
Could you please inform us of the purpose of this thread? I'm not sure if you have some underlying idea of what you are saying and that you think you are very clever to leave out the obvious links, but it's really not reading. You should explain more thoroughly.
God, IMHO is an idea put into symbols intended to communicate a choice to believe in a particular idea or not - among Everything else. To put God into a slot and claim that "This is God" is ridiculous to me. The constant need to make things better (instead of just Talking) is another aspect of God. Altruism another.... and of course Choice can certainly be an illusion whether or not you believe in Any God or not. Would any of us "Choose" to be Hitler? Here the idea of Choice fades.
For now, I guess the above post will do. It can really be as simple or as complex as you can imagine.
the idea of the ideas maybe ... sounds interesting ... but the ideas of god are reality ... whatever ... you don't believe in god - so it's not important to meditate about god Sure - why should you believe in god? We use a lot of aproximations. Always to try to become better is for sure a motivation. But it needs also time to understand that the human perfection is never perfect. And what we think whats not so good or not so perfect is often much better and much more perfect than we thought. Life for example is one of the highest expressions of perfection. Hitler chose to be Hitler. We could also think Hitler was an effect - a mad man in a mad world as a result of world war 1. What will happen if an american Hitler will become president of your god USA? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-4wUfZD6oc
I don't know what I said that made you think I don't believe God exists because I just don't believe God is explainable with words (symbols used to communicate). You're apparently a strong believer in choice. I'm not convinced. I think God designed everything to be the way it is. And I do mean Everything you can imagine and some things you can't imagine. I personally can't imagine anyone choosing to be insane. My God is Choice... Not the church. I desperately WANT to believe in choice. But since I have BEEN insane, Choice may be a REALLY bad word to try to describe "God". Really, the point is that there can't be separation of church and state because Our church IS the U.S.A.. I don't see how we have a choice unless we "choose" not to be a part of it by moving to a different set of laws (the beliefs of the church).
About half of the world is crazy so there's no shortage of nuts. But even so a crazy person is just a crazy person alone unless other crazy (and sane) people follow him. The real danger exists from the followers.
Makes not any sense, isn't it? Normally Christians use sentences like "god is love" or "god is truth" or "Jesus lives" or "I believe in the triune god" and similiar explanations in context with god. It's completly unimportnat for me wether you are covinced from god or not or wether you are convinced from anything what I say or not. You are living your life not my life. Every Christian is a member of the church and it's in this context unimportant wether the church is ¿deadly? broken or not. In case the church dies also all Christians will die. Practically I guess you are right. One of the main creeds of US-citizens seems to be "right or wrong - my country". That's maybe indeed an effect of the christian love, because we all are sinners and we all love sinners - but nevertheless this sentence is not a true sentence - it's an evil sentence, it's an antichristian sentence. No one gives his children "a snake to eat" because he loves his children. Wrongness dies out - that's enevitable - so it's important to make the right decisions. You are your country. I guess you know what the USA has to do. Laws? What for heavens sake are laws? Why should I or any other Christian need human laws for our hope in Christ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgJB8PKXEkA ----- Again I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking place under the sun: I saw the tears of the oppressed— and they have no comforter; power was on the side of their oppressors— and they have no comforter. And I declared that the dead, who had already died, are happier than the living, who are still alive. But better than both is the one who has never been born, who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun. And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. Fools fold their hands and ruin themselves. Better one handful with tranquillity than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind. Again I saw something meaningless under the sun: There was a man all alone; he had neither son nor brother. There was no end to his toil, yet his eyes were not content with his wealth. “For whom am I toiling,” he asked, “and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?” This too is meaningless— a miserable business! Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Better a poor but wise youth than an old but foolish king who no longer knows how to heed a warning. The youth may have come from prison to the kingship, or he may have been born in poverty within his kingdom. I saw that all who lived and walked under the sun followed the youth, the king’s successor. Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdFHGFkyew4 ----
Laws are beliefs, hope, etc. All Churches have 'em. All nations have 'em. Can't get around 'em even in Heaven I'll bet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CAX5qA4rLc
Nice girls. I would say: Still the USA is not lost with such girls. ... And laws ... sometimes laws are crimes. Don't trust in laws - trust in god. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mekDWywxGQ
We normally play fast and loose with the definition of God around here. But you're playing fast and loose with the definition of church. I'd like to think that our society's secular values do a fair enough job at keeping our government from entirely acting like a 'church'.
Oh I believe you... and God is really All there is (and is not) IMHO. Still laws must be obeyed or changed (even if they're criminal) or you suffer the consequences. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6mRxf3VXNc
I really don't think that ACTING like a church is what makes it a church. A group of people with common beliefs made it a church.
Just having a belief is not enough to make a church. We all believe that it can only snow when it is cold, that doesn't mean that the US is a church of cold snow. I agree that there is church influences that are presupposed in US government, but that doesn't make it a church. People don't vote in a church.
Depends on what church you belong to. Some churches vote. People can't seem to agree very well for whatever reason. A church is really just a group of people but it helps if the group has some common beliefs and goals.
Yes and No. I would say you just simple have to do the right thing in the right moment. But that's easy. The laws you need are written in your heart. Everything what's written on paper follows only formalisms - if not an healthful spirit[uality] leads to good results for your and all life on planet Earth. But don't worry - it's really easy. The strange moment will start if you will notice that you are not [always] doing the good things [y]our spirit[uality] shows to you. Then you will understand what it means to be a sinner. That's not a good feeling so you will try to avoid such situations. But don't try to flee in illusions - try to stay in the reality, then you will try fro example to convince other people not to try to destroy their own lifes nor any other life. In the reality it's for example difficult to change the opinions about death penalty. That's why you will suffer if you will recognice that the USA murders legally murderers. The country you love so much is not able to be your god. But if you are full of love then you are able not to despair - you will be able to see that your country suffers too. The love will protect you from desperation - and not only this - while resting in the arms of god you will be joyful, although the world is suffering - although your country is sufferig - although you are suffering - while Jesus - true god from true god - will suffer death like a criminal and you will not only not be able to help him. But you will be able to help others. You will find your way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIRFE_1huMc
I need a "hard" God... A wise person to show US how to get the right choices of employment initiated. I would like to believe that God is only good but everything I see says this is not the case.
God is god - there is no other god. Your problem seems to be that you are thinking you are the maker of god. But god made you. You are an answer to everything what had happened before you. And I'm sure this answer makes sense. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CkS_cxk3Gg
Doesn't Everyone have their own Idea of what God "Really" is? Doesn't that make us all the creator of God within ouselves? God is within and without. God is the creator and quite possibly created.
