Still, we are fighting with the prostitution. Especially, with the teen prostitution. Horrible and super horrible, all this is happening under the umbrella of the Super Bowl. Sixteen teen, forty five adult women and more than forty five pimps were arrested. How many more, who were not arrested, is still the question mark. The answers we don't have.

    What's the problem?

    Prostitution should be legalised anyway.

Well, adult prostitution, yes. Underage... no.

Because there is no explicitly legal prostitution industry, underage prostitution is often present among these rings.

That would depend on if the operation involved a human trafficking ring. Unfortunately, a lot of media sources don't articulate the difference between people who voluntarily enter prostitution vs. the people forced into it through abduction, blackmail, etc.

agreed - it's very often Christian biased or traditional family values stuff.

Eh, it's basically legal unless you are an idiot or hurting a girl.

It is done very safely on review sites like theeroticreview.com

I think "rings" like this are a problem and glad they get busted. The girls who provide for themselves are IMO providing a perfectly fine service.

Just wish we would tax all that grey/black money

When I clicked on this thread, I did not expect to see anyone arguing that the prostitution of underage girls is acceptable. I have been proven wrong.

I think, already we legalized too many things, we should take a break and think over it sometime later.

Even with underage prostitution - I have no interest in caging them. It should be up to the parent to prevent their kids from doing this sort of stuff. You know, drinking, having sex, smoking, etc.

Well this can hardly apply to abduction; a parent can't protect against their child being abducted much better then an adult could another adult.

However, in regards to your point, the reasons these exist stem (primarily) from either Religion or medical concern, both of which are slowly beginning to lose their following as better cures and science come into play.

Different offense; different punishment (in terms of opinionated deserving).

    Do you pay a slave?
    Did you force the prostitute?

Because it doesn't break any laws outside of its own domain, and if it does, it is because consent is lacking, in which case it'd be rape.

Which would lack consent; in which case it'd be rape. Like I said.

I am fine with that as long as licensing and public health measures prevent trafficking in under-aged and enslaved women.

Pimps should be dealt with by the most effective lethal penalties available.

This is why I advocate hanging for pimps as a part of any legalization of prostitution.
