Actually, since you eat meat again, it has more to do with you than any vegetarian. Animal torture needs to stop no matter whether you eat the meat or not, and anyone who eats meat, or any other animal food products, from companies that treat their animals inhumanely should really get their heads out of their asses and look around them. All the meat I eat I buy from places I know are open range and kill the animals as painlessly as possible. Most of it comes from farmers markets. I even helped some local rabbit farmers kill and slaughter some of their rabbits a couple years ago. I got me a lot of really good meat from it.
Something to consider.. The country with the largest population of NON meat eaters is India The average life expectancy in India is 67 years old. (rated 128th) The average life expectancy of the US is 79.8 (rated 35th) The health care for both country's are pretty much on par So even with all the fat slobs in the US eating non stop fried food from McDonalds or any other fast food that is killing the average because they are dying from heart disease.. we still have a higher life expectancy than a primarily vegan/vegetarian country... Eat meat.. you will live longer
They are kind of creepy. I don't trust anyone that doesn't want to kill an animal with a rock or stick and tear its flesh off and eat it.
Then she's not a vegetarian. The idea of being a vegetarian means you don't eat animals. It's like saying, "I don't do drugs but I do smoke crack."
I can understand that. But do you fully understand the risks you are imposing on yourself to make your political statement? Do you have children? Do you also directly or indirectly impose your purposefully unhealthy diet on them?
All things in moderation, this is what I believe. Except for good dark beer. That you should enjoy is large quantities.
Been thinking about going that route but the only meat I usually eat anyway is in chile. Some stats: 78% of the cropland in the world is used to feed livestock. 51% of the greenhouse gases in the world are released by livestock.
Was vegetarian for 8 years been vegan for 3 years now. You should really try to be vegan because what they do to the animals for the dairy is horrible. If I was an animal I would rather them kill me then what they do to them for their dairy. If you do it for moral reasons there really isn't any excuse to not be vegan.
How is vegetarianism a ridiculously restricted diet....? I would reserve that place for the brand of vegans who only eat fruit off the ground and never pluck it from the tree.
Yes it is a unhealthy diet. The best diet it based on lots of fresh fruits and veggies along with meat. You will live the longest based on a healthy omnivorous diet. I said it earlier in this thread but I will say it again.. The country with the largest population of NON meat eaters is India The average life expectancy in India is 67 years old. (rated 128th) The average life expectancy of the US is 79.8 (rated 35th) The health care for both country's are pretty much on par If you want to put the life of an animal above your own.. that is your choice... But stop lying to yourself.. you will die sooner because of it. http://www.science20.com/news_artic..._allergies_and_mental_health_disorders-133332
So you compare a second world country to a first world country? lol Correlation =/= causation. Also: http://www.nutraingredients.com/Res...-life-expectancy-than-meat-eaters-finds-study
The problem with vegetarian/vegans is that it's a borderline cult. And all the pro vegetarian/vegan propaganda errr i mean studies are cherry picked stats. or out and out fabricated. Look to your link.. a study done by Seventh Day Adventist a religious organization that is pro vegetarian. And they go on to say that "Coffee, tea and alcoholic beverages provide few nutrients and may interfere with the absorption of essential nutrients" Putting aside meat for a moment.. that last statement is 100% wrong.. multiple sources have linked to the benefits of tea, coffee, and alcohol.. this is a study by a borderline cult that has a religious interest in the outcome.. Humans have been omnivorous for millions of years. our bodies are designed for it. Can you name me another mammal that is 100% vegetarian that also CANT breakdown cellulose? One thing you will find if you dig deep enough into the pro vegetarian studies.. most of the health benefits statistics come for vegetarians who still eat dairy, eggs, and fish.. hard to call yourself a true vegetarian when you are still eating animal protein..
I did it for a month, every meal. One of my favorites was vegetarian chili. Gave the cookbook to my vegetarian lawyer. Now I eat whatever but I don't eat a lot. Made some Vietnamese veggie stir fry the last couple of nights. Usually eat a cup of homemade beans and ham hocks for lunch.
Nope, vegetarians can eat fish, eggs, dairy, etc. Vegans eat no animal products at all, only fruits and vegetables.
