Nice photo. Well, the right likes to claim that this doesn't happen to us, but apparently it does. Wow. Let's make sure to spread the word. I sent an email to the shop already. I have friends in Kentucky, so they now know to avoid this place. http://www.advocate.com/business/2014/04/29/ky-print-shop-guns-ok-gays-go-away
Cry me a river. Its still a free country in some states. I'm sure your side is already dreaming of ways to destroy this man's life and business just because he doesn't like your choices. Thanks for the new avatar.
I'm confused. The article reads that the shop won't print pro gay material, but it's not clear that they ban gay customers. That's kind of an important legal difference that seems to be blurred over.
how does one know that the customer engages in homosexual sex? If I skipped in wearing tight short-shorts, pumps and my t-shirt tied off around my belly, does it mean that I live the homosexual lifestyle? So, the faux outrage is just that, nonsense. There is no way to know how a person has sex.
How many times does this have to be explained to you? Businesses open to the public, serve the public. That sign does not mean what you think it does. And why should any of us who don't like what he's doing give him money? We shouldn't. Thought you liked the free market. Guess not. - - - Updated - - - Read the whole article.
How could they ban gay customers? A guy could come in one day, come out of the closet another. There's no way to tell. But gender and race are pretty obvious which is why its so insulting when homosexuals pretend they share the same blight as slaves did for hundreds of years. - - - Updated - - - How many times does this need to be explained to you? Forcing people to accept your choices isn't freedom. Its fascism. I love the free market. Its abundantly clear your movement doesn't when it forced people out of businesses through law and threats because they don't agree with your choices.
Hey, read the article. And putting a sign like that in your window id pretty damn off-putting to a lot more people than gay people- also their friends and relatives.
from the article the clerks gave us dirty looks now we see the real problem here. Heck, I get dirty looks from employees at Home Depot when I interrupt their personal conversations and excuse myself asking for help
One more time, >>>Off Topic Removed<<< why should anyone who disagrees with this business spend money there? No one is being forced to accept anything. They made their choices, now they'll have to live with the consequences, for better or worse. Now, go cry crocodile tears in your beer.
Remember, for homosexuals getting dirty looks means you should be forced to close down your business. Sieg Heil!
One more time leek, I never said they should. Are you actually reading my posts or just dishonestly making claims I never made? Tell the 2 bakeries who fell to your side's Nazi tactics or the photographer in New Mexico. I'm sure your side is cooking up a way to force this guy out of business right now.
Yeah, it's called not giving them our business. That's the free market, man. If people don't like what their policies are, they are free not to go. That's not Nazi tactics. It's freedom to spend money where we please.
But that isn't the tactics your side uses, man. No the fascism is forcing them out not through refusing to buy but threatening their children, writing false reviews online, threatening their business partners and pushing through laws that limit their freedom to choose not to accept your choices. Those Nazi tactics leek.
Threatening their children? Oh lord. Please- outline all this silliness. Prove it all. And laws rule businesses cannot discriminate against people are not Nazi tactics. Neither is writing reviews online. Information spreads fast these days due to the internet.
I already have. Multiple times. Constant protests and death threats have forced the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, a Gresham, Ore., family bakery whose refusal to make a wedding cake for a gay couple triggered a state investigation, to close its doors. After owner Aaron Klein declined to bake a cake for a same-sex couple in January because of his Christian faith, LGBT activists ‘badgered and harassed’ the bakery with protests and boycotts, as well as any other businesses that Sweet Cakes by Melissa collaborated with; Klein said he and his family also received death threats. The lesbian couple that originally asked for the cake also filed a discrimination complaint with the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. Last month, the bureau announced it would investigate the complaint. http://www.examiner.com/article/protests-force-bakery-that-refused-to-bake-gay-wedding-cake-to-close “ Last Monday, the Willamette Week in an undercover operation reported that while they were refusing to cater for gay weddings, the Sweet Cakes owners were recently willing to provide baked goods celebrating divorces, unmarried parents, stem-cell research, non-kosher barbecues and pagan solstice parties. The owners said that information was false and that neither of them answered the calls from the undercover reporters. The report, according to TheBlaze, reignited passions among gay advocates who have reportedly called for Aaron Klein to be shot and raped through caustic telephone calls and e-mails. Some of the e-mails shared in the report even called for illness to befall the couple’s five children.” http://www.atoast2wealth.com/2013/0...ource=INK&utm_medium=copy&utm_campaign=share& How many more times must this information be posted before you stop asking for it? Of course these tactics of death threats and false reviews are par for the course for liberals. After all since they don't believe in morality because it requires judging behavior that isn't their own they can justify any tactic for the good of ruining those who don't agree with their choices. They are when you have nothing to back up your condition other than personal choice. I can't think of a single black man that can claim he's white and change his appearance to white by that declaration. Can you? But a gay man can "come out" at will at any time and we are supposed to blindly accept that choice. I don't accept it any more than a kid claiming he's now Goth.
[/QUOTE] Ok, so we have nothing but the word of these people that they got death threats? That's not evidence. And clearly, the shop violated the law in Oregon. And The Blaze? REALLY? Glenn Beck? Whatever.
Easy, don't shop there. Let the free market decide whether or not the business survives, not government control.
Putting as sticker in your window like that pretty much says you don't like gay people. - - - Updated - - - Oh, and that's exactly what will happen but people like Tex will cry "nazi tactics!"
Yeah it is man. You guys just squeal about it man. That isn't right. Free speech. Threatening then how? You mean like forbidding them to get married? Matching fire with fire.
Some groups do take it to the extreme though. That can't be ignored. Like homosexual students going to religious colleges and claiming discrimination for the college not supporting their lifestyle.
if the bakery wants to boycott gays, they people can boycott the business... simeple cause and effect this is why most businesses stay out of religion and politics, most want to stay neutral as they are a business, not a propaganda stand
