That was back in 1975 when he was talking about the Vietnamese refugees. Jerry Brown said the Federal Government wanted to “dump Vietnamese on” California and said “we can’t be looking 5,000 miles away and at the same time neglecting people who live here.” Jerry Brown went as far as trying to prevent planes carrying Vietnamese refugees from landing at Travis Air Force Base near Sacramento. Today, he isn't saying or doing anything about the Federal Government dumping South of the border illegal immigrants into California and instead is going to sign legislation to give driver licenses to illegal immigrants. Why did Jerry Brown discriminate against the Vietnamese refugees back in 1975, but is not discriminating against the South of the border illegal immigrants of today? Gov. Jerry Brown 1975: Don't 'Dump Vietnamese' Refugees on California
I think Jerry croaked years ago and the state is being run by a hologram. No living person can be that stupid.
If Brown is against Obama dumping illegal alien in Calif, it is one of the few wise decisions he has made.
He could always change the direction of his high speed rail plan to head south instead of north and send them all back where they came from. It wouldn't be any less cost effective, but could serve a legitimate purpose in terms of national security...
Under Jerry Brown's rule California simply refuses to remove illegal aliens, they don't even want to know anymore and far from discouraging illegal immigration their blind eye to Hispanic law breakers only encourages more illegals to come here. But it's not like it's costing us billions of taxpayer dollars to support the illegal class, or anything....http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/immigrationnaturalizatio/a/caillegals.htm
Mebbe we could take in the Syrian christians... Americans Inclined to Ban Syrian Refugees, But Not All Muslims December 23, 2015 - A new survey has found that while a majority of Americans would ban Syrian refugees from the country, most disapprove of "banning people who are Muslim from entering the U.S.," as Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has proposed.
You have to remember that even back in 1975 Jerry Brown was a liberal and like most liberals they really didn't oppose the war in Vietnam but opposed the United States and South Vietnam winning the Vietnam War. Liberals looked upon the South Vietnamese people as the enemy just as they looked upon the American soldier being the enemy. Now if the refugees were have been communist North Vietnamese, Jerry Brown and all of the liberals would be welcoming those refugees with open arms and giving them free stuff and registering them as Democrats as soon as they got of the plane. We see the same thing today, while American troops are fighting ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban, Obama bad mouths America while defending Islam and wants to bring a quarter of a million Muslims into America as refugees.
Mebbe takin' in all those refugees wasn't such a good idea afterall...
