Did you bother to read what I've written? There is no such thing as the Nile treaty. There were a set of agreements aimed at making sure that the Ethiopian Empire didn't restrict the flow of water.
yes, did you me? the so-called agreement is why ethiopia is in the situation it now is. if ethiopians were like europeans then egyptians would have been pushed into the sea by now but alas, ethiopia is the wise man of the earth, they know, they just do.
a 1929 agreement between Egypt and Britain - the regional power at that time - gives Egypt most of the Nile's water, and Egypt has said it cannot afford to give up this claim because of the needs of its own booming population. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4274757.stm "We generate about 85% of the total Nile waters - we have not utilised this resource at all so far," Misfinta Genny, Ethiopia's deputy minister of water, told the BBC World Service's Assignment programme. "The amount we use so far is next to zero. So we must develop these resources, basically for the benefit of our people."
Well no you didn't because I was referring to the bombing which helped Libya's rebels overthrow Ghaddafi. It certainly wasn't prior to 1950. No. Ethiopia was racked by cold war rivalry and a violent civil war. And life has actually improved courtesy of overseas trade. What on earth are you talking about? Know what?
Africa...is a con-ti-nent. One of the largest. There are nations that are progressing pretty well in Africa and there are nations that are not.
That's way to disputable a claim. That's a probably whereas the US going in, removing the leadership after empowering rebel factions, and then just "leaving the pieces to fall as they may"...that's a more substantial correlation.
The US didn't "empower" any rebel factions... I used to live in Libya .. and the tribes in Benghazi and Marsa Brega always hated Ghaddafi.. It was time after 40 years. Nothing the US could have done to keep the peace. Ghaddafi was an ignorant Bedouin with a serious chip on his shoulder ... and he was always nuts..
some, out of ignorance, like to imagine Afrika is a continent. Mainly because they cannot differentiate between nations due to lack of research. The continent is an absolute wealth of information and sifting through that is way too tiresome for the haters. why would an ignorant person research something they care little about? Thus we have the 'Afrika is a nation' crowd spam the forum.
people in many nation hate their 'leaders'. look at america, look at uk. Arabs in north africa derided Ghadaffi because of his ties to west Afrika and a call to unite the continent. This would marginalize Arabs in the north and so USA capitalized on this divsion and supported the Arab rebels. - - - Updated - - - minor to you of course, thats ok, did iexpect anything else, no.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/apr/19/libya-rebels-will-receive-25-million-from-us/?page=all Come on, Margot. You're one of my favorite ones... Which is weird since Europe has failed states in it also. Go figs...
It's incredibly minor. It doesn't matter where it is on a forum as it doesn't prevent the topic from discussed which you have deviated from. Did you even get pass college? - - - Updated - - - Which ones?
None. My bad. I meant...kinda severely troubled. I don't think you can call nations like Greece or Spain broken just yet. Hopefully never. - - - Updated - - - The rebels are the destabilizing force. One of them, anyways. To support them in any way is to support their actions.
its minor to you of course, after all, you are another who seeks the destruction of Afrika. it is without question that you are another 'africa is a nation' and 'sub- sahara' and 'black africa' spammer.
No worries That's nothing new but hopefully they'll pull out of their financial mess. And I sincerely hope the Greeks stop treating migrant workers like slaves or maybe Helots is a more appropriate term.
Thank you, my dear... Ghaddafi took credit for a lot of programs that Idris put in place and then he immediately threw out their Constitution to replace it with his Green Book.. Ghaddafi was inconsistent.. He'd play nice for a while to get his way when his back was against the wall, but his ego was dangerous.
J0NAH In every single argument you've tried to wage you've presented nothing but ignorance. You are poorly informed, not educated in the slightest, nor do you have a sense of logic and reasoning and quite frankly you come across as being self righteous and pretentious as well as a bit crazy. Not to mention chronically rude and you don't even have the courtesy to answer simple questions. I've disproved your contentions several times and quite frankly it's becoming tedious. The funny thing is it's not the ignorance that I find offensive, it's just the sheer disinterest in learning. I suspect that a long career of roaming the street and scavenging from dustbins await you; now go grab your destiny, follow your dreams. Oh and your spelling is atrocious.
