What about the needs of citizenry? Mass transit clearly does NOT cover all of their needs, and I disagree that it covers all of commerce's needs. Mass transit as described above could reduce "time to market" for many goods and many services, including what this thread is about; but, we should be promoting the general welfare instead of the private welfare of a mature, fossil fuel sector.
