A plane carrying at least 150 people crashed in southern France on Tuesday en route from Barcelona to Düsseldorf, the French civil aviation authority said. The Airbus A320 plane was operated by Lufthansa's Germanwings budget airline, and lost contact with air traffic control about an hour after it took off, the airline said. A French military helicopter located the wreckage of the plane near the town of Barcelonnette in the French Alps, about 65 miles north of Nice, Reuters reported. As I read earlier, nobody survived the crash. Only yesterday the air plane was inspected, they say. The flight recorder has been found.
The black box' been recovered, and as early as tomorrow we will know if it was mechanical failure, or Allahu Akbar. I personally give it 25-75 ratio.

An investigator told the paper that evidence from a voice recorder indicated that the pilot had left the cockpit and could not re-enter. He tried knocking lightly on the door, and when there was no immediate answer, he began knocking more loudly. Finally, the source told the Times, audio on the recorder revealed: You can hear he is trying to smash the door down. The Fox News. Looks more and more like Allahu Akbar flight to me.
So if the pilot-in-command had a medical emergency, I'd have thought the autopilot would have just followed instructions from the Flight Management System and continued on trying to follow the programmed planned (approved) track, probably at the same altitude hold, unless they program level changes in as well (thought not as they require ATC clearance) but those would be clear of terrain. So there is a question still there..... but perhaps having only 2 pilots should mean at least 2 pilots up front at anyone time. Add a toilet perhaps, though its shortish flight and a guy can 'hold it' that long normally... perhaps not women who have smaller bladders. They need to record cockpit video to the blackbox I think, perhaps even stream the same black box data to the manufacturers in realtime as normal operation so if something like this happens the data can be recovered more quickly from the saved offsite copy instead of having to dig/dive around for it amongst the wreck (if even found).
In today's world one need only check and see if the co-pilot was of the Islamic faith. Some mysteries really are just that easy to solve. Perhaps leftwingers will one day cease confusing wishful thinking for reality.

A pilot was locked out of the cockpit because his co-pilot inside the cockpit may have passed out or been experiencing serious health problems such as a heart attack. The strict security measures implemented after 9/11 may have backfired and the door to the cockpit can only be opened by someone inside. What is yet to be known is the reason why the pilot left the cockpit in the first place and it could be a bathroom break or something more serious.

There is no evidence to support your rash speculation. The copilot flew the plane into a mountain, killing everyone along with himself. Suicide/murder (since he died first by a fraction of a second)
So why hasn't any terrorist organisation claimed responsibility for it? I am not ruling out a terrorist attack, but it would seem pretty pointless to carry out such a devastating attack and not look to gain any publicity for your cause.
If I were a guessing man, I would suggest that the co-pilot went 'postal'. Low fair airlines are notorious for paying their pilots a pittance and telling them where to go when they complain. But as a poster said earlier, a sudden severe medical problem with the co-pilot might explain why the pilot couldn't get into the cockpit. However, it seems pretty unlikely that there would be no contingency plan for the pilot to regain entry. It has to be said, a terror attack would tick a lot of boxes.

The door of the cockpit can be blocked from inside and from outside you can deactivate the block only using a code and only after a certain time [for that airline, as for I know, it's 20 minutes ... but the plane took 8 minutes to crash ...]. To avoid such a situation an other member of the crew [may be a hostess trained and qualified as "security operator"] has to stay in the cockpit when there is only one pilot / co-pilot.
