http://www.gofundme.com/MemoriesPizza Purpose: To relieve the financial loss endured by the proprietorsÂ’ stand for faith. After you donate please go "like" and combat the leftist hatred expressed on Dana's page." https://www.facebook.com/danaradio?fref=nf https://www.facebook.com/DanaTheBlaze?fref=ts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxkRvjNrcvs Religious liberty is under assault in Indiana and that's never been clearer than with the O'Connor family. When asked by local press the hypothetical question of whether or not they'd prefer to have their family owned business, Memories Pizza, cater a gay wedding, the owner said no citing their own religious beliefs as the reason. Rather than allowing this family to simply have their opinion, which they were asked to give, outraged people grabbed the torches and began a campaign to destroy this small business in small town Indiana. All for having an opinion that is rooted in faith. No one was turned away. No one was discriminated against. It was a hypothetical question asked by a news reporter who had questionable motives to begin with. After being interviewed by Dana Loesch on her television show on Blaze TV, we learned that the family may never even reopen the doors to their restaurant as the death threats and vicious online reviews continue to pour in from the arbiters of "tolerance." My name is Lawrence Jones, and I'm one of the television opinion contributors on Dana's show. Before the televised interview, producers Rachel, Allison and George discussed the situation with Dana, myself and head writer Ben Howe. We all agreed: this family needs help to get through this assault. So we set up a GoFundMe page with the modest goal of $25,000. The intent was to help the family stave off the burdensome cost of having the media parked out front, activists tearing them down, and no customers coming in. Our goal was simply to help take one thing off this family's plate as the strangers sought to destroy them. But other strangers came to the rescue and the total just keeps going up. Thank you for helping us do some good for this family who were scared and in hiding just 24 hours before this writing. All money, save whatever percentage GoFundMe takes, will be transferred directly to whichever bank account the O'Connors wish to use. Show producers are in direct contact with the family to ensure that they never feel like they are being left out of what is going on. Thank you to everyone for your generosity
They are receiving donations because progressives from all over the country were threatening to harm and/or kill them because they would not cater a gay wedding. Any rational person could see that it is you and your pals on the left who are the bigots, not the pizza shop.
It says a lot more about the opinion of the people that matter. Angry idiots can spew hate for free all thy want, but people speaking with their dollars says a lot more. The jerks that forced this pizza shop to shut down are the bigots. They are the ones intolerant of others beliefs. Even so it's not about gay or whatever it's about personal property and first amendment rights.
Have you criticized the people threatening their lives or is that alright with you as it appears to be with just about ever other liberal on the forum?
It's the leftist making death threats. The loony left are the real bigots here, Death threats because they don't want to be forced to make pizza's for a gay wedding.
No, it's compensation for the bigotry and hostility (including death threats) imposed upon them, the pizzeria. Your type of hateful bigotry, from BIGOTS like you.
I do feel sorry for the proprietors. Even though I disagree with them. The attention of the American public is dreadful, and bitter thing. If there is one thing true gay right's advocates despise it's cyber bullying, and internet death threats.
No, paid because they are having to deal with the "tolerant" left. Tolerant in quotes because it's complete sarcasm of course. The left is only tolerant to people who think exactly as they do.
Hope he gets over a million. - - - Updated - - - Your support for those making death threats over a damn wedding is noted.
Yes it did. Just like when the left nuts went after Chic fil a. Their business is better than ever. I bet Dan Cathy just giggles everytime he thinks about it.
What a joke..... Say you won't do something that nobody has ever asked you to do, and have fools send you money. Gotta give it to them, they are getting rich from the hatred of the right wing without doing anything. All this BS about death threats... seriously, some morons posting things on a yelp page you guys are using to justify this... I mean, have you guys ever read the conservative comments posted out on the Internet.. come on.. seriously, you guys are making anonymous Internet banter as the basis of justification for giving these people money... This is not a statement about liberals... they are not the ones giving money. No, this is a statement of how many religious idiots there are in the world. Probably think giving money to this pizza shop to support their hatred of fellow man will get them into heaven. - - - Updated - - - How did it backfire... they changed the law didn't they.
Oh yes. I clearly support that conduct by making fun of idiots who attribute it to all liberals everywhere. I'll give you some time to take that to the echo chamber and see what bounces back.
I never stopped patronizing Chik-fil-A but I get my barbeque from a gay owned joint down the road....so that kind of evens things out.....right? Even steven?
` It's so easy to catch certain people in their exaggerations....like yours. For example; "progressives from all over the country". Yeah...right. Any proof. Now couple that with this statement; "threatening to harm and/or kill them." I've seen absolutely no reports or articles stating the police or any law authority were called, so we have only the word of the alleged victims. First thing I'd do is call the police...but there is no report of that. Considering how they are cashing in on this, a rational person would be very wary and skeptical about their claims....unless anyone has proof that law enforcement was contacted. `
If the BBQ is good then there is no reason not to get it there. I'm just tired of people wanting to force everyone else to bend to their wishes. I'm conservative on some issues, and liberal on others. Militant Gay's should have the right to be married. Jesus freaks should have the right to not be involved in the ceremony if they feel it violates their beliefs.
