The fact that you used the term 'master' speaks volumes. So you'd like your own kin to be classified as possible terrorists because they care about one nation-state more than another? How despicably 1940-ish. It's an interesting thing when you start delving into the subtle differences between 'nations' and 'countries'; and 'citizens' and 'countrymen.' For instance, in light of your comment above, though we are both citizens of the United States of America, I in no way consider you to be one of my countrymen.
i know for a FACT that they totally love Israel more than the USA, and I certainly question their loyalty to the USA.
nothing farther from the truth than what you just said..i have many friends from russia and they love both countries...and no one from russia tries to influence them..
and i know people from Russia that now live in the USA, who HATE America's policy in Europe, totally supports Putin, goes on daily rants supporting Putin's attacks in Ukraine, daily attacks Obama, and is probably being watched by the FBI as he takes bi-weekly trips to Moscow.
i have relatives who love Israel more than the USA, and would definitely help Israel if/when our interests conflict.
That's fine. In that same vein, I certainly question your loyalty to your family. You seem to love a government more than you do your own blood. Betrayal of your own family, especially for something so petty as your opinion that they aren't patriotic enough, is the ultimate treason. - - - Updated - - - That you're a subservient individual.
How embarrassing for you! I take it you are unfamiliar with Matthew 6:24 from the New Testament. Here's the quote no one ever taught you: "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth." - New American Standard Version (1995) It's shocking you are unfamiliar with one of the most widely known adages of Western civilization. Google is your friend.
Awesome. We weren't discussing God or wealth...we were discussing governments, and you chose to characterize them as your 'master.'
We were discussing a principle governing dual loyalty. You were ignorant of the proverb I quoted. That speaks volumes about the caliber of your education. Embrace your embarrassment. Now go forth and sin no more.
Says the guy who thinks that the government is his master... I mean, anyone can understand seeing God as one's master. Certainly some people foolishly allow wealth to be their master. Only slaves talk of their government as their master. Tell me, in light of the proverb that you put so much stock in, how can you serve both God and your nation? It certainly seems that you've already chosen which is your "master" so does that mean that you are denouncing God? Or are you ignoring the proverb and considering them both your master?
You're assuming facts not in evidence. Not everyone. Making things up again? I'm an atheist who recognizes no duty to a deity. I have stopped thinking of myself as an American and have no duty to Post-Constitutional America. Perhaps you should suck up the lesson in literacy I gave you, and stop stereotyping people. Incoherence is not a virtue.
So you're an atheist that has renounced his own country whom quotes scripture in his arguments concerning national loyalty. Your level of credibility on the matter can only be described as 'shady as hell.'
I don't see that as a rational argument. Do you not live in a country that is a part of a nation that is a part of a much larger continental government? Is your monarch not also the monarch of 15 other nations? If any one of those bonds are strained then some of your allegiances are likely to break. Does that possibility mean that they are invalid as they stand now?
Then they should say they are loyal to Israel and not the US. To do otherwise would by lying on their part.
I do not hold dual nationality, my country is made of four kingdoms swearing allegiance to one crown. But indeed dual nationalities can and do break as nations can have different and opposing interests..
yes, they are liars, as their primary allegiance is to Israel and they would choose Israel if America and Israel went to war. - - - Updated - - - sorry, but i have family members who feign love of the USA. I am not afraid to acknowledge this. its too bad Jonathan Pollard didn't have family members like me, who could have turned him in before he damaged the USA's security.
I never said that you did have dual nationality. My point was the you have allegiances spread out over different entities. These allegiances "can and do break" as these entities can have different and opposing interests (as the history of the British Isles demonstrates in spades). That possibility doesn't make your allegiances "invalid." In that same vein, someone with dual Canadian/US nationality, or allegiances to both Canada and the US, doesn't have those allegiances invalidated simply because of a hypothetical situation.
none yet, as none have commited treason or espionage against my country. but as soon as I believe that may be working for Israel against America's interests, I will immediately contact the FBI. America has been very good to me and my family, and I owe my total allegiance and support.
Israeli-Americans will continue to support both countries' war against IslamoTerror. This is a great thing. Soon, Syria will be liberated of Assad and Iran will be liberated of its Terror Regime.
right, cause regime change in Iraq, Egypt, Libya, worked out soooo well. get rid of Assad, and ISIS will control Syria.
