    The main male character is played by a black British actor of Maori decent but Rey, the new female character in Star Wars 7, is played by English actress Daisy Ridley. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy was passionate about casting a female lead in a Star Wars movie, which wouldn't just be a "token job". I would call Star Wars 7 a feminist film and I assume that Rey is the real main character, while the black male actor only plays a subordinate role.

    This makes no sense.

    The first Star Wars film was released in 1977, the core audience is closer to guys my age who grew up with Mark Hamill in Star Wars and Corvette Summer. Y'all just co-opted it and call it yours since the horrible trilogy of prequels were released 20 plus years later.

    A black character in Star Wars...wow what a shock; never heard of Lando Calrissian I suppose.

    I've seen the #BoycottStarWarsVII hashtag. Supposedly, this movie promotes white genocide because it has a black character. Can anyone explain this?

    More of we see here really. Groups that have gone so far up their own proverbial colons that they lose the ability to see anything outside themselves.

    Its more extreme than here because this type hates opposing views and most likely sees PF as a vipers nest of anti-white racist.

    I believe it's a combination of a few nut cases, and then other people capitalizing on it, to see how far it would go on the internet. My guess is that most of the real Star Wars Geeks don't really care.

    Jewish left-wing activists usually have an anti-white bias. Susan Sontag once said white people were the cancer of human history. Noel Ignatiev has called for the end of the white race for decades. JJ Abrams may not go that far in his beliefs, but he clearly has something against whites.

    But what I find funny about all of this is that they are trying to bring a black audience to the theater by casting a black lead role, when blacks really don't care for sci fi movies, and never have. White males are the key demo for movies like these, so why not appeal to them? The same demo for "Straight Outta Compton" isn't likely to be big Star Wars fans to begin with, even though they are now trying to incorporate it into their social justice strategy.

    It's just another example of the Jewish and/or white progressive need to bring non-white minorities into something that has always been white. Whites aren't allowed to have anything to themselves. They can't have their own countries, their own cultures, their own forms of entertainment, etc, even though non-whites are allowed to have theirs.

    Did y'all forget Lando and the black Jedi in the Prequels? :roflol: Their have been a number of blacks in the star war movies and black fans. Hell I know several black fans of Star Trek so I don't get the scifi don't appeal to blacks since their are many blacks that are fans of Doctor who.

    Background characters are not the same as leading roles. This new character is as central to the story as Luke Skywalker was in the originals.

    That's the term I'd use for people who celebrate the destruction of white peoples, their cultures, their countries, etc, all while celebrating other groups of people.
