Here's a replay of a conversation between Trump and a liberal reporter from Media Matters (I think it was). I just caught a glimpse of it, and never saw it again, so apparently it wasn't too publicized. Check it out. Reporter: How can you say you're qualified for the presidency of the United States when you haven't held any elective office ? Trump: Is that a question or a statement ? Reporter: Let's say it's a statement. You're really not qualified. You haven't held any elective office. Trump: Let me first say, Thank You for bestowing that badge of honor on me (audience laughs) The fact is, the worst thing I would want to have to say, going in to this, is that I've been a part of the pitiful mess, that those who are in elected office have turned this country into. So you have been very nice to me by pointing out that I have no involvement with that. (audience laughs) Reporter: So you don't think that you should have any experience working in the government, to be able to run for president ? Trump: Of course I don't think I need that experience, and if I had it, I'd probably be too ashamed to run for president, or any other office, and you don't think I need that experience either, as it 's written all over your face. Reporter: Oh well, I don't know about that. Trump: But I know about it. I'm looking at you. I can see your face, you can't. (audience laughs) Reporter: I, I, Uh .....stutters/stammers Trump: That's OK. You don't have to say any more. You've done well here. You know how ?.......You just gave me another couple of points in the polls. (audience laughs)
If Trump is elected President, he will become a Washington elitist and the new boss will be the same as the old boss. He didn't mention that factor to the Reporter.
Frankly, I wonder about this from time to time. He appears to give a darn about America, but he was buying politicians for favors that ultimately contributed to horse-trading politics and an oligarchy-favored environment. As president, who could he really afford to buy off to get things done? My bottom-line question: Is he a sociopath who is ultimately working on giving his empire more money, power, influence or did he get an epiphany and really decide to reverse the course his actions contributed to in Washington politics?
He doesn't care about America. He cares about making more money for himself. He tried to bribe Bush to approve of casino gambling in Florida.
Not likely, and I don't see one shred of evidence to point in that direction.. I doubt that you do either.
Give us a break! If anybody DOESN'T NEED to be "giving his empire more money, power, influence," it's Trump. He already arrived at that point 20 years ago. - - - Updated - - - Noting more false than saying Trump doesn't care about America. Read his new book
Trump just gets better and better at this. From the debates to silly interviews with "gotcha questions". Hilarious! - - - Updated - - - Holy crap! Trump is almost as qualified as Hillary, who has done far worse things by the way.
He will auction off the Everglades to the highest buyer in a historic land deal. Miami and Fort Lauderdale will become deserts. He is a real estate tycoon and life will end in much of Florida because of him.
Inaccurate at best. We defeated the constitutional amendments in 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012. Bush had no power in this realm. Granted, the Seminoles have casinos in Florida, but no public, non-Native American land has this. If you want Vegas style gambling, then go to Las Vegas and do it. We are not Las Vegas and we are not known for that.
Buying off crooked politicians that put in place crooked rules that hamper development so that they can siphon of $$$$ is a PIA to guys like Trump. Trump is the perfect one to address this situation.
If Trump was only interested in making money, he would not have run for office. He could literally buy approval for any project he wanted and made another fortune or two. Now that he is running, many of his potential clients, yes Democrat's and Liberals, will try bringing him down, costing a fortune or two. Just maybe he is worried about the Country, you know that one where any person can make it, like he has and wants that for his kid's and any of yours. He has said, he won't take a pay, although he probably should just donate to some charity and he literally has about 9B$ worth of properties, he won't be able to manage himself.
Yep they are the real crony capitalists with their environmental regulations that mostly require pay offs to crony gov't officials. They are scared stiff that Trump will end their little blackmail schemes. Anyone who has watched Trump has seen over and over again how he is determined and passionate to Make America Great Again...That's his campaign slogan in fact. The weak kneed libbies are literally trembling at a strong America supported by capitalism and a market freed from the encumbrances of useless government red tape that funnels money back to crooked politicians and fanny-sitting bureaucrats that spin more and more regulations just to validate their useless jobs and ensure their own government pay checks and burgeoning retirement programs that We The People can no longer afford. Trump probably already gives away millions to charities but yeah, that would be a good thing for him to do. I think he mentioned that his family is already managing a lot of the Trump business.
Trump never said he would "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran." That's leftist propaganda aimed and stirring up hysteria. (But I think I remember a novelty song that went like that)...In any case, Trump would try to re-negotiate this Iran deal. Based on his excellent performance as an excellent negotiator AND his deft handling of the news media, I believe Trump would have the upper hand in ANY negotiations. The libbies AND the ME are quaking in their boots at the prospect of a Trump Presidency. It's the ECONOMY stupid....
Iran an ICBM tipped with nuclear warheads threat? You must be kidding. Actually I was thinking (in jest) about those nations who actually have the capability.
Which of course was my question to you. You seem to think Iran is a threat, I do not. Of course no one will use nuclear weapons, it would be suicidal, which is why I had (in jest) in my post. All nations, including Iran, understand this explicitly.
Normally, I'd just agree with your post, as I do...but need to clarify the reason, he should donate his pay to charity. If he accepted it, to donate it, say to some disabled veteran's project, the bureaucracy couldn't then spend it on some convention in LV. I'm always impressed with many wealthy individuals, who are involved in charitable organization and yes Trump gets involved, both in person and with his money.
It sounds to me as though you are beginning to catch on. Donald Trump cares about exactly one thing, Donald Trump.
