This years Christmas light display at our house. We added a just few things this year, still all LED. Last years display totaled a mere 460 watts and we won 3rd place in the city-wide competition. This year, we added about 100 watts. Even the Saguaro in the backyard gets in on the action...
We have some homes around the town that decorated their houses up. This year.....there has been less than in recent years. We only have 4 homes with Christmas lights on them. When I moved into the area it was all younger people with kids. Back then every house on the block was lit up. Now many have moved on and those that remain are older and off to themselves. Doesn't seem as festive this year around Chicago. Yours looks good. Myself, I like when people light up their homes.
I like the light shows as opposed to this trend for those inflatable things with lights. There is a house a few streets from me that looks horrible in the day they have so many of them out there. I don't do lights but that is because my ladder isn't long enough and I won't do it half the house. There is a whole street in town that everybody does it to the nines that is a huge attraction even beyond the pay to drive through displays in the parks and stuff. Good job there, ChoppedLiver
A friend of mine told he saw some people camping out and they had lights and Christmas Decoration on their tents. Showed me the pics he took. Now there is some dedication for some Holiday Cheer. I haven't seen any myself. So I was looking at some pics of people that do decorate their tents with Christmas lights. Also, when I was out in California I use to see people Decorate their lil traveling trailers they stay in. Have it all lit up out on the beach.
