Wow you made the claim, but you really don't want to defend it huh? I mean, I'm not surprised. You can repeat talking points, but apparently you're not so good at the follow up.

You claimed that Trump was a reflection of far right extremism. How exactly?

How is RINO Trump suddenly a right wing extremist?

Trump is a moderate Republican, similar to Mitt Romney. Was he a right wing extremist too?

Only if it were coming from a Muslim.

Other phrases that could sound like they were coming from an Islamist.

    "There is one God."

    "God created..."

    "God spoke to..."

My point was that using faith as your focus for solving society's problems is a slippery slope. Also, the whole "moral decay" argument is pretty hackneyed at this point.

Lack of faith is to blame for society's problems. Name the problem. Try to leave Islam out of the discussion this time. You're smart enough to know it's apples and oranges.

the OP clearly hopes that if Trump becomes President, he will engage in a violent purge of all Progressives and Feminists from society.

It's really not. Extreme Christianity doesn't go as far as extreme Islam, but they share many fanatical tendencies. One of them is viewing society's problems as all stemming from a lack of faith.

Culture plays a part in societal problems, but that doesn't require religion. Many secular humanists have similar morals to Christians, for example.

It's a repeating motif with Trump fans.....their sick, twisted fantasy of "deporting all the liberals" (not just Latinos or Muslims) or even "locking up all the leftists"....

    pure fascism.

Believing societal problems are the results of a lack of faith is not extremist. That's been mainstream American theology forever.

If we're talking about our American culture at-large, population 300 million plus, the only way for us to tip the scales back towards a more moral culture would be a very large religious movement. If the trend continues, it could be the Latino Catholics, but they're less likely to engage the American public at large as the Protestant evangelical.

    What about them?

The average Catholic seems ok, but the Catholic Church itself isn't exactly moral given its aiding and abetting of pedophilic priests.

Evangelicals are more engaging, but I can't go for excluding gay people from society.

Unless religion changes its attitudes toward gay people and science, I'd rather not have a religious revival here.

Changing attitudes towards gays is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. It doesn't need to happen in order for their to be a religious revival. Sit it out if it doesn't suit you. Most people aren't gay. Most people don't think our moral litmus test should be whether or not we "accept" gays.

Science isn't threatened by Christianity. That's old news. Christianity isn't threatened by science. That's old news, too. The two have always coexisted in modern American society, and we've always been at the cutting edge of technology.

When religious people seek to remove evolution from education, that's definitely a threat.

sorry Channe, but Trump doesn't want to bring us back to the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, or even 1990s.

he fully respects women being politicians, being part of the workforce, being CEOs, being in the military, not having children.

he's pro-choice and supports gay rights.

your anti-Progressive anti-Woman Pogrom will simply have to wait a few more decades.

    Good analysis.

We now are seeing the GOP establishment and other Republican candidates for President 100% adopting the Democratic tactic of calling everyone they oppose a racist. For the next two weeks the GOP and Republican candidates will join forces with the Democrats and Democratic candidates to shout "Trump's a racist!" - though there is exactly NOTHING showing Trump to be a racist.

Romney was pacifist milk toast. And now he's even weaker still.

    Self-funding alone makes Trump revolutionary

Voters have noticed by now, that is that Trump does not feel obligated to special interests, special pleaders, political correctness, or sacred cows. Isn't that what we wanted? Funny how the left says they hate corporate America but they'll vote for someone who is paid by them.

Lawyers have dominated American politics now for generations. The time may be right to give a cocky guy who has had a real job, and concrete accomplishments, a shot at fixing issues. The Beltway status quo is Trump’s real target in 2016.

Yet there are people who want more of the same and will vote for a politician who's job is to pander to get in, then once they get in, oh well.
