Cultural Marxist Harvard Prof urges liberals to treat Christians like Nazis

A Harvard Law professor is telling his fellow liberals that the culture wars are over and the victorious Left should treat conservative Christians the way the allies treated Germany and Japan after World War II, offering no quarter or clemency.

In an online post, the 70-year-old professor Mark Tushnet (pictured), a surviving member of the old guard of 1960s liberal elites, advises his like-minded minions to unabashedly take up “aggressively liberal positions,” because they will no longer meet resistance, especially after the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.





Can you imagine paying Harvard tuition for your child, and this piece of garbage is "teaching" them?

I actually agree with him. It's time for the right to stop playing soft, and to start being aggressive, confronting Liberal ideology where it presents itself and dominating with the facts. The Left has advanced far since 1975, and it's about time we took a last stand ourselves.

 

That is an opinion piece by one of the conservatives that has undoubtedly never treated liberals as anything but 'losers'. Finding conservative bloggers and pundits who are offended by liberals being hard nosed in victory, is less than persuasive considering how the GOP House and Senate tea -partiers handled their 'glory' years.

It all depends on specifics and tactics and that is case-by- case, but I don't see anything inherently wrong with his stance. Hardball has to be one of the options for liberals to consider, in a time where many Christian Conservatives have pumped rubber balls and balloons full of cement in recent decades.

 

You're not agreeing with him, you're turning his hateful advocating back on him.

I'm slowly starting to be afraid that the only way "common ground" will be found, is if one of the sides is victorious over the other. Traditional Conservatism/Liberalism does not make for a true coalition, and the fractured true political views of the country are no more or less a coalition.

The US has indeed been fortunate and special, but now thanks to mishaps we are experiencing the same turmoil as every other country on the planet has. What I hope for, is for a Napoleon to rise for us, as it did for France.

 

Yeah yeah I read it. Man's just a tad off with his victory proclamation. He might need to read Clausewitz on what's required to "bend an enemy completely to your will", unconditional surrender. Who has surrendered? I don't see vanquished forces disarmed slinking from the field. The man is delusional. Celebrating the death of a fellow American?

The war isn't over, neither side has reached a solution, surely not a military one and not even a political one. The fight continues.

Just making clear what the Professors actual words were, and how they have been spun by others, including you. Its not hateful to assert political dominance over political opponents by itself. Nor is it hateful to advocate for a hard line consistent and forceful response to opposition. Whether or not the tactics are appropriate or productive is not the same question. None of these questions have caused conservative Christians much pause and as long as Trump is the nominee of the more conservative party, I don't think this thread is in any conservatives' interest.
