90% Of June Job Gains Went To Workers 55 And Older

I keep hearing the left say that the reason that the workforce participation rate is so low is because the baby boomers are retiring.

Well, that simply is not true.

90% of the jobs gained in June went to 55 and older.

16 to 25 year olds lost jobs in June.

The young aren’t paying their fair share into this socialist society that the left have created since the 30's.

The young liberals that want free healthcare and free college need to put down the joint, iPhone, and Xbox controller, get off their behinds and work to support their socialist utopia that they so lovingly want.

 

Old folks are having to take jobs that used to be entry level jobs for young people. Go to Home Depot and see all the older employees.

 

It's not just that they're "lazy", the economy really does suck today and doesn't offer lots of opportunities. Trump and Bernie are not popular for no reason.

i think the younger population now have a very weak work ethic, the younger truck drivers are really lazy and want a lot of time off and call in sick a lot.

 

The younger voters are voting in dems who are screwing them over. Hard to feel sorry for the young and naive.

 

Why aren't the states creating jobs for younger workers? Why do all these republican governors hate young people?

the issue is that the media will not peel back the layer of the onion. Instead, we break out the pom-poms. A real Chief Executive would dissect the numbers and look to see why the data is so bad. That of course would mean that the policies enacted are not working and need to be changed. it's not about what is best for the nation, it's about liberal policies

 

A good many of those who gave up looking fer jobs have in effect retired.
They have hired lawyers to help them qualify for disability.Which explains this
Economy { nearly 95 million American workers are jobless }.Near record low Participation
rate { Low to mid - 66's during Bush's last term and now upper 62's }
Currently at 62.7%.

 

Old farts alienated from America kvetch about younger, better-educated Americans. No surprise there.

It's encouraging to see that the current recovery includes even older workers, those that normally find it very difficult to find jobs.

Employers have concluded that older workers are better workers. The current generation of liberal politically correct youth is used to getting trophies for just showing up.

Its because older people are the only ones that you can count on to actually show up on time or even show up at all. They are just about the only ones who know anything or can do anything besides play with their smartphones and waste time. They will also work for a reasonable amount of pay and not expect to be paid $15 an hour to stand around and daydream of waste time on Facebook and crap like that.

 

I'm glad that the current upswing in employment encompasses older workers, but I have no complulsion to lash out at younger, better-educated Americans.

 

As I ha e shown in other treads laying to rest the excuses about the labor participation rates falling because more older people retiring, the baby-boomers, they are the only age group to INCREASE their participation rate these last years.

 

Yes there is that thread about the interns mass protest over the shoes the company requires the employees to wear and their "rights" being violated.

 

I have a compulsion to tell the truth. A trait sadly lacking in others.
