I know people who only smoke pot. There is no good reason why they shouldn't be able to smoke some weed. They aren't hurting anyone.

    Lie about what?

Apparently some of us care. If you don't, then don't let the door hit you on your way out!

Smoke all the pot you want. But don't cry if you get fired or locked up.

I don't smoke pot but I have. Nobody should be locked up for smoking weed. WTF?

    - - - Updated - - -

Some people who have never smoked weed seem to think it's this awful thing. It's really not that big a deal. You don't get all messed up from a little weed. Lol. Alcohol is MUCH more potent.

Yeah, who cares about why things are legal or illegal in a supposedly free country?

I think maybe the freedom to ingest addicting substances shouldn't exist. That includes alcohol and tobacco.
My mother wouldn't let any of us smoke or drink.
All addicting substances are detrimental to society. Some times children get addicted by pushers.
Maybe a solution is to outlaw addictive substances except in the territory of one county in each state. Then all the pot heads, alkies, smokers. crack additcts etc would have to live and work together in one county and watch their community fall apart and disintegrate into total caos.
That should be a good lesson for young people to observe.:salute:
And don't get me started on abortion.

Your freedom ends when you are no longer productive or a drain on the rest of us.

Your not thirsty you just want to stay drunk all day. Booze can be used as medication and was back in the day. When I was going though Chemo pot took away the nauseousness and gave me an appetite. It has tons of medical uses. But I will admit there is nothing wrong with getting a buzz on. Its not like booze. Your not incapacitated unless your new to it. At this point it simply takes the edge off and helps me relax. However i would never call myself a patient Im a pot head :clapping: Ive been smoking since 1969. The only thing these days that can really messes me up is crumble or wax. Pot has little effect on me.

Not a first offence, but once its determined that you cannot handle it with out committing other crimes. You can stay locked up for the rest of your life for all I care.

How about salt or sugar? You do realize that the biggest reason for people checking into clinics for addiction is for sexual addiction ? I guess we need to ban it.

Pot is legal in many places, but what does that have to do with morality??? Does this mean that the people who indulge in the legal places have more morals now than they did when they smoked weed before it was legalized? Are you (*)(*)(*)(*)ing serious with this asinine stance?

My freedom needs not be hampered by your inability to contribute.

    - - - Updated - - -

I oppose welfare in all but the most extreme cases.

    - - - Updated - - -

Its my stance and its no more asinine than you be willing to provide for people that cant/wont get a job because they smoke pot.

Yes it is rather awkward, it is prescribed for some lung cancer, yet can cause it.

Why are you operating under this idiotic notion that everyone who smokes pot doesn't contribute to society?

Does everyone who drinks just sit around getting drunk all day?

I know you want everyone to worship at the feet of your progressive collective or whatever, but real free people see no need to have a nanny state controlling what people choose to put in their bodies.

I don't smoke now unless someone offers, which is rare because I'm east coast and getting grey whiskers, but I've got no grudge with pot heads. Mostly I don't want the headache of worrying about getting caught. I've got a family and it'd hurt more than me.

Personally I think people completely miss the importance of this drug to cancer sufferers. I've known two families now who experienced brain cancer and the need for the relief marijuana provides is real. The last family I knew with this problem went as far as to move to a different state. I think there are legal allowances for it here, but there's an almost police state environment regarding distribution. The people providing you the drug you need are under constant surveillance and tend to get shut down on a regular basis.

Oh well. I tend to think this is held onto as illegal because it provides a nice stream of revenue to law enforcement from appropriations.

You made a really ridiculous statement about morals and you dig an even deeper hole by deflecting. Is that you again Gladys Kravitz...worrying about what other people do as your own dull life is spent peeping through your curtains at your neighbors? :roflol:
