I started another thread calling out Trump supporters for not taking Trump to task for saying “the nation's African-American communities ‘are absolutely in the worst shape that they’ve ever been in before, ever, ever, ever.’”* So let's make this clear. Communities are in bad shape If the people are victims of many crimes compared to other communities. The communities are in bad shape if they aren't safe. They are in bad shape if there is no justice for the crimes committed against them. So in the Jim Crow south, when a person went to register to vote, and he was intimidated, threatened or simply denied registration, then a crime was committed against him. In fact, that is multiple crimes. When he was paid less, or denied a job because he was black, a crime was committed against him. When he faced an all white jury and a white judge after trumped up charges from a white policeman, a crime was committed against him. When his daughter was raped and the police didn't even show up, let alone do an investigation, then a crime was committed against him. When a white person didn't pay for services rendered, and the state laughs at him when he tries to take the man to court, then a crime was committed against him. When he isn't allowed to marry a white woman, a crime was committed against him. When the law required more money be spent per student for white school than money spent per student in black schools, then a crime was committed against him. When he was denied admission to university or professional school, despite being more than qualified, a crime was committed against him. When a competent, talented surgeon was not given admitting privileges to a white hospital, a crime was committed against him. Any questions?
No, they are stone cold facts. If you like our constitution and consider it the law of the land, then this is a no brainer. If you don't really care much for the constitution, and you think whites should legally rule, then you might consider it spin.
Don't lefties believe the constitution is racist? After all it was written by a slave owner so it must be, right?
Didn't your Messiah say he wanted to get rid of the 14th Amendment? It used to be racist. And Trump and his criminally minded stooges want to make it that way again.
There is no doubt what you've written is all true from the past and the perpetrators of these racist acts were Democrats. Even today votes are bought in some places with a few yards of ready mix cement, a couple of cords of wood, perhaps even a few bags of feed for the sow, or boar getting ready for the October slaughter. Votes in the city are a different story. The buying of votes might be cash, maybe a job in the Sanitation Dept. or a custodial position, Parks Dept., getting them a better apartment in the projects, etc....So the corruption is always there. That's all planned and it's not Republicans that are doing it. Hmm..., were you around when Brooklyn and Bronx was burning. Ever hear of Fort Apache? Irrelevant. Trump's statement was insane and insulting. And even in your post, you don't seem to care the least bit. And why should you, advancing a vicious lie about blacks doesn't hurt you one bit. Comparing the huge, single minded investment, the relentless, comprehensive, and widespread oppression of blacks to run-of-the-mill, each side does it, corruption is ridiculous. You means the stunningly courageous and brilliant war hero who singlehandedly saved his platoon in the most treacherous circumstances imaginable? That Charlie Rangel? Puh-Leeeze!

I've been wanting to explain that same thing to you since you began posting in here, but I have more restraint. If my guess is correct, you have exceeded the usual limits in here and are about to get slammed. There is nothing quite like a low-information ego to carp up the threads. Most of us in here like to discuss, not respond to insulting posts from immature upstarts. I can't help wondering what board you were last kicked off of. Have a nice day.
African American communities ARE in terrible shape. Any reasonable person can see Trump wasn't comparing now to when they were in slavery. Just hyperbole.
All true, but in the end black America has been its own worst enemy for the past 50 years. I don't suffer from white guilt so I'm not afraid to say that.
Yes. If a black person commits a crime now. It's not my fault. If they drop outta school, its not my fault. If they kill each other, die to the police, destroy thier own homes, etc it's not my fault. Funny thing is, those people who think it is, because I'm white are racist. And that's exactly what they think they are fighting against.
Any reasonable person can see black communities are light years ahead of when Trump was 18-years-old in 1964.
What Trump said is insane. Some black communities are in bad shape. But none are in as bad of shape as the communities in the Jim Crow era, especially in the south. His statement implies a comparison. So today is the pinnacle—the best it's ever been. It is racist and plainly false to say what Trump said. You have no excuse for not calling foul.
We're they though? Sure, they absolutely had less rights but that has been corrected. But we're they killing each other in droves back then? And regardless, the point he was making is they are in a (*)(*)(*)(*)ty state. They kill and commit violent crimes at astounding rates. They drop out of school, have broken homes, and overall embrace a thug culture at a much higher rate than any other race. This has had a direct reflection of thier current living areas looking like and being utter (*)(*)(*)(*). This anger has caused them to be irrational and further destroy thier living areas. They rely on the government far to much for money. They project racism far more than they currently recieve it. The list goes on and on.
And when legions of crimes where committed against blacks by whites in the Jim Crow era, it wasn't their fault either. Is anyone honestly stupid enough to think that blacks commit as many crimes against each other as white people committed against them in the Jim Crow era? And guess what, genius, a black man who endured 30 years of white crimes against him in the Jim Crow era is only 81 years old now. You don't care about justice for the crimes against that man, do you? If you think black Americans have committed more crimes per capita than white Americans, then you are floridly racist, and profoundly stupid.
They had THE SAME RIGHTS, genius. Read the constitution! Nothing changed. And guess what it is called when you VIOLATE someone's constitutional rights? It is called a crime. It is a felony. The HOMICIDE rate for blacks was HIGHER during the Jim Crow era. Wake the (*)(*)(*)(*) up.
And what happened before I was born, and done by other people is still not my fault. So I don't deserve to be held responsible. That 81 yoa man deserves justice. But not his children, or his children's children. If you are black and do what a decent human being would do, you will go just as far as everyone else. You defend, the undefendable. You try to justify the unjustifiable. Lolol. It's objectively true that they do commit more violent crimes than whites, while being a much smaller portion of the population. You are objectively wrong if you disagree, as the ignorant usually do. - - - Updated - - - And you are trying to hold me accountable for Jim Crow laws. Lol. Genius. You are as stupid as you claim everyone else is. Jim Crow is no longer in effect. Blacks are in a (*)(*)(*)(*)ty state, overwelmingly because of themselves. This is fact. The past does not justify thier current attitudes and life styles.
