I'm no fan of Hillary .. however compared to Trump she is the lesser of two evils, and lets be honest a politician will say what ever they think will get them votes.
In the thread, “Is the, "wage gap," a scheme by feminists” Fugazi says in posts #21 and #106 Despite the above, when all factors have been taken into consideration there is still a 21% gap. nothing in the above changes the fact that there is a 21% wage gap and even the report itself says it is virtually impossible to come up with every factor and that discrimination is a possibility
Good post. There is a distinction between science and its application, politics/ ideology and its application. Social science is more prone to a complicated relationship between science and politics than the life sciences, and physical sciences . There is a tendency for new disciplines or studies to acquire a fervor of fashion that loses potency in a couple of generations . I would wait to judge this relatively new area of social science along with 'queer studies' etc for a at least 30 or more years for adolescence to end. I definitely think that there is a real contribution to be had to all of us this field of study and conservatives with real understanding of the scientific method ought to head into this discipline to offer ideological balance in interpretation. The answer is not to sneer, but to learn, keep an open mind and keep those professors honest about where the line between science and ideology rests. It could be that we all learn more about gender, its impact on history, human behavior and culture. There is a lot we do not know.
Which I already stated in my reply to you, and as I said I have never stated there is a 22% wage gap, in case your reading comprehension is lacking 21 is not 22, so again your assertion of what you think I said is proven wrong in the very post you have cited .. must be great for you to prove yourself a liar.
I asserted everyone has lied. You seemed to disagree and asked me to point when you had lied. Unless you are asserting that you are the exception, there is no need for me to demonstrate otherwise.
So you're saying I'm lying when I said you said there is a 22% wage gap that's the result of discrimination when you said there was a 21% wage gap that's the result of discrimination. LOL
Unless you have dyscalculia then 22 is not 21 .. so yes you lied and even posted proving it. - - - Updated - - - In any comment on this board.
Liars are people who tell lies. You said it's plain you are not a liar. You made that claim on this forum. You seem to know that it is plain, that you tell lies.
Way to misrepresent and take out of context, attempting to widen the goalposts when it is very clear I am talking about this thread and forum ... but please carry on misrepresentong me and taking it out of context.
You may have intended other than what you said. You still said it. Same with the guy who was off by 1%. If you believe he lied, so did you.
Actually read what I said in full and not the part you decided to cherry pick, it becomes clear that I was obviously (well obvious to most people) that I was referring to this forum and this topic .. if you want to go off topic and generalize then that is your decision. I have been specific in my comments, no where have I accused the person(s) of lying outside of the debate.
There has been some progress made on revealing the truth about the pay gap (however Hillary Clinton, and liberals in general, still insinuate that there is a 22% wage gap that's the result of discrimination). It was not that long ago that you could not even mention the results of a study without say, getting an infraction on something such as, say, a political forum-know what I'm saying??? Disputing the wage gap, even when your evidence is from one of the best, actually probably the best study I've ever seen of its kind, is not politically correct, and political correctness is liberal censorship. Liberals/Feminists suppress the truth with political correctness. I'd say, liberals are as anti-science and actually as anti-intellectual as conservatives. I'm pretty certain that liberal sites will still ban you for posting the results of a scientific study, just the results, with absolutely no analysis, just the results of the study. That's it. I'd say women's studies is not only not science, I'd say it's anti-science.
in the past, it has been a way for women to merely lie to Persons with doctorates; for private fun and private profit.
Fugazi, let's say there is a field where one gender is preferred 2 to 1 over identically qualified candidates of the other gender. Fugazi, would you say that is evidence of discrimination.
More equality means more freedom of choice to each gender to practise their own interests. When women are equal in "freedom to pick career" it seems they pick entirely different career paths than their male counterparts. If we look at equal countries like Sweden and Norway, we can see that although men and women are equal, they are not equal in their choices- men dominate STEM and Tech whereas women dominate medicine and teaching. Comparing this to unequal countries like India and China, we can see that women in these countries tend to pick the same careers as men; STEM and tech. Seems to be a direct correlation between "social equality" and "career inequality". Paradox much. Lul. Not surprising at all to me.
I don't think I would classify it as 'enormous contributors to the pay gap', simply because there likely are not enough graduating in this field to make much of a difference.
I would say that warrants further investigation, now I suspect you will pull up something where females are proffered over males expecting me to defend any discrimination that may be present ... I won't, my answer will remain the same.
The debate is not about when people choose their own career it is when you have two people who do the same job being paid differently.
And that never happens. There is no proof that two people working the exact same job, at the exact same company and the exact same hours are being paid differently. Edit: With the exact same background and merits and exact same background and exact same negotiation skills.
