As of November 27, 2016 at 12AM Pacific Standard Time, Jill Stein has raised just over $6 million to fund recounts in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.I'm assuming that she will make her Pennsylvania deadline by Monday and her Michigan deadlines by Wednesday, having all the cash she needs to defray the expenses. The question is now; what's going to happen next? I assume that recounts will be carried out in all 3 states. But will the recounts be finished in time before December 19? It's possible, but it'll be an uphill struggle. Not only that, but Clinton needs the following to happen in order to win: 1. She wins all 3 states during the recount. 2. She wins Pennsylvania and Michigan, and one faithless elector votes in her favor when the electoral college meets in December. Not only that, but Congress must also refrain from voiding the faithless vote if it happens. What do I think will actually happen? I think that the recount will occur but the outcome of the election won't be changed. Yes there are conspiracy theories emanating from both sides. A lot of liberals believe that there was voter fraud in favor of Trump and a lot of Trump supporters believe that there is some conspiracy between Hillary Clinton and Jill Stein to use this recount as a means of committing voter fraud to steal a lost election. There's a lot of hypocrisy on both sides too. For example, Trump is basically telling the left to shut up and accept the results. But had Trump lost, his supporters would be protesting the same way and launching the same secession campaigns like they did 4 years ago (analogous to the ongoing talk of Calexit). Personally, I believe that Trump will be president, he will probably serve a full term without being impeached (even if he does stupid nonsense) and after a few weeks, the attempts to blackball him will diminish and people will become more content to just ride out his presidency and the Republican-controlled Congress until the next presidential and midterm elections respectively. I don't want Trump as president either, but I'm just going to be realistic. Democrats just need to learn from their past mistakes and launch better campaigns the next time around.
They should also do a recount in these 6 states: California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Florida, Colorado. These states all have over 1 million Latinos with California having over 15 million Latinos. Hillary beat Obama in all of these states when you compare the popular votes and California for example has a difference of almost 2 million votes between Hillary and Obama. They need to investigate all of the possible illegals voting for Hillary especially after a video came out with Obama telling illegals to vote. Arizona and Texas are considered swing states and both of those states also has over 1 million latinos. They want to be fair right? So they should investigate all forms of fraud.
She has end of the day tomorrow to persuade the courts that there is probable cause for a recount. That isn't going to happen
If she gets approval for recounts in all three states there is a huge chance that they will not be able to count them in time for the electoral vote. My guess is then they go to court to try and change the constitutional deadline. This, of course, will end up in the Supreme Court. With the court divided 4-4 they are hoping for a favorable lower court decision to be upheld. This in turn will actually create a constitutional crisis.
The outcome is clear, Stein with a few million dollars in her coffers, the libs with more egg on their faces and with a recount in Pennsylvania NOT happening because the court would absolutely deny it: Per Pennsylvania regulations, there is only one way remaining for Jill Stein to get a recount in Pennsylvania and it is a complicated process. BillyPenn reports that Stein would have to file for a court appeal and present a prima facie case showing that voter fraud took place. While prima facie has a lower burden of proof threshold than beyond reasonable doubt, it is still significant. Stein would have to prove in court that fraud was probable. This is going to be very difficult given that even the computer specialists recommending the recount say there is no proof of hacking or fraud. http://www.inquisitr.com/3747002/20...ecount-in-pennsylvania-must-take-it-to-court/ Lest we forget that the US government also reported absolutely no unusual cyber activity during the election and that most of the Pennsylvania voting machines are so obsolete that they are not connected to the internet and can't be hacked. The request will be laughed out of the court room and Stein will be laughing all the way to the bank. Well done, libs
Frankly I think this entire recount business is fund raising for Jill Stein. It's certainly worked on that account.
Hillary joining the effort is just pathetic. Not only will she go down in history as a 2 time loser she will go down as being a hypocrite and sore loser.
All of that may be true, but if Trump had won the popular vote by over two million and there were narrow margins of victory in the battleground states for Clinton, the Trumpsters would be screaming like stuck pigs for investigations into voter fraud and squealing about the unfair nature of the electoral college. Hell a lot of your cohorts and even the candidate himself were crying foul before they even started counting the votes. Let's face it, partisans from both sides are a bunch of crybabies when they lose and are generally a bunch of hypocrital ********s.
Really? What do we call the dems who wanted Trump to accept the outcome of the election before it happened, and now refuse to accept the outcome? Hypocrites, ********s, etc?
The Democrats’ real strategy in launching recounts http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/11/the_democrats_real_strategy_in_launching_recounts.html
That may be the tactic but in 1824, memory serving me, the public at large did not play a role in who was picked to be president. Keep in mind, electors pick the president. The public advises them. That possibly is why after that election, the public was finally cut in on the voting process. i believe most voters assume early on, voters voted for president. That simply is not true.
What does popular vote have to do with anything? And the margin of victory in these states is not narrow. The highest margin ever overturned by a recount in the US history was significantly lower than Trump's margin in Michigan, where his margin is the smallest. Trump won by whopping 1.2% in Pennsylvania, this is a huge margin, this is not Florida 2000's 300 vote margin. Ironically the smallest margin of victory is in NH where Hillary won by 0.3% but no one seems to want to recount that state. Anyway, your hypothetical claims about Trump supporters notwithstanding, in the real world it's the libs who are acting as petty, vicious, intolerant, spoiled sore losers that they are, making complete idiots of themselves, lest we forget they are being scammed by Jill Stein of all people
That's different. Hell yeah they would raise hell had Trump demanded recounts. Me, Clinton won 14 states. Not bad for a flawed candidate.
We here in CA gave her 55 electoral votes. If we remove the illegals out of her vote, She may not have won California.
Never underestimate the cunning strategy of evil. The goal here is not a recount. The last recount in WI lasted over a month and the current recount has to be in by December 13. Stein is demanding a hand recount which will take even longer especially since the population has doubled since last recount. The goal here is to nullify the vote of Wisconsin Michigan and Pennsylvania. If they can't be counted by the deadline they cannot be included in the electoral count. Then it would be up to Congress to decide to include them or not.
Yes, just like you and the Trumpsters. Both parties are filled with a bunch of hypocritical ********s who prance around like rap stars when they win, like you and cry like little babies when they lose, like some of the Democrat partisans here. Both parties have sold out the American people at every turn to Wall Street hucksters and war profiteering scumbags for several decades now. Trump has promised to change all of that and I, as a patriotic American hope the President Trump will do as he said he would without any loyalty to corrupt party politics from either side. He clearly stated that he will work on behalf of we, the people. I support him wholeheartedly in his endeavors if he is true to his word. Cheers
Donald Trump will be inaugurated as our next president regardless of recounts...he should be more concerned about Article 1, section nine of the Constitution. "No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state." http://www.dailykos.com/stories/201...toral-College-must-reject-him?detail=facebook
I agree that your boy won. Now the ball is in his court. Hopefully, since Trump is not an ideologue he will get bi partisan support from congress and create the greatness he has promised. I am behind him 100% and sincerely wish him the best of luck in his presidency.
I talked this over with the Alameda County voter registrar representative. They contacted me to work at a voting booth. For you to verify my truth is for you to look on the google images of the CA voter registration form. You will note but one requirement. The signature of the person that says they sign the form under penalty of perjury that they are a citizen. We do understand that 100 percent of Mexicans tell the unvarnished truth, right? Do you realize Democrats coach the illegals on voting?
