Trump berates CNN reporter: 'You are fake news'

I like Shepard Smith, but honestly real Journalists wouldn't be pulling half the crap CNN pulls on a regular basis. If you aren't respectful and mindful of real Journalism, you don't deserve to be treated like you are.



Even MSNBC, who is no big fan of Trump, thought they were in the wrong.

CNN got exactly what it deserved and I hope Trump sticks with it. If you are tired of Media sources pushing narratives and bias instead of simply bringing you the news...then you need a Trump to finally stand up and call them on it and levy some kind of penalty to get them to remember what they're supposed to be doing.
If you accept it, and still give them the same shot at questions and interviews that their rivals get..it will continue.

 

Here's the thing; CNN was openly adverse against Trump and very pro Clinton. If anyone had something bad to say about Clinton they suddenly experienced satellite feed problems, their audio was cut off or they had to run to a commercial. CNN highlighted all of Trump's negatives and none of Clinton's. To me, that would make CNN Trump's enemy and the left just blathered on for two weeks about how we should treat enemies.

 

Why didn't you state that then, attempting to be cute since there is no defense for the behavior of CNN or this reporter.

Have they issued an apology yet for supporting this story and the behavior of their obnoxious reporter whom it seems DOES need to be knocked of his "I'M FROM CNN" pedestal.

 

I like Shep, too. He's the best thing at Fox, now that Megyn is leaving. I'm not sure how I feel about the whole thing, frankly. I don't mind if he talks to reporters that way, if it's justified, but CNN didn't mis-report, as Trump claims. I found it tacky... and very mean spirited. I don't want that from the press. That doesn't make them fake news. They are clearly quite biased, but so is Brietbart, and many, many others. But to claim Prison Wars is respectable and CNN is not, well, that's quite questionable.

Well, I posted without comment. I have no loyalty to any news source and I try to give them all some time, for balance. Some are easier to tolerate than others. I find Fox the easiest to tolerate these days, but I prefer BBC and NPR. I don't find I have to "tolerate" them at all.

 

You do realize that CNN merely reported that Trump had been briefed of the accusation, right? CNN did not release the document because the document could not be verified. All that CNN could verify was that Trump had been briefed on an accusation that Russia had attempted to compromise him.

 

Does Trump own Buzz Feed. Kelly Ann Conway is certainly giving Buzz Feed a lot of free publicity.

 

In Obama's administration, favors of access were traded for favorable reporting. (remember the seating chart in the White House press room?)
But this new President isn't playing by the rules and isn't afraid of the attacks. He shoots right back.
The media is going nuts because their "trump" card has been trumped by Trump.
Tonight the people of CNN are probably at the local watering hole, soothing their hurt butts and trying to convince themselves they are still relevant.

 

He had not been briefed. This is an old story that has been shopped for months and rejected.

 

CNN, the Counterfeit News Network?

 

It was revealed today that CNN reported fake news. As another poster (RonnieFan) just pointed out CNN has now fully devolved from being the Clinton News Network to being the Counterfeit News Network.

 

Trump was utterly accurate. It pretty much openly works for the DNC.

 

Hardly. The MSM is irrelevant since they are pretty much openly working for the DNC. The entire nation knows that they are leftist political propaganda outlets and nothing more than that. As for the intelligence organizations, Trump is going to be their BOSS by law in about eight days from now. At that time he is going to put his foot on their necks and bear down. End . . . of . . . problem.

 

When they give debate questions to Hillary they cease to be a legit news organization.

 

Had he done that to Obama they would have universally declared him to be a racist.

Actually RonnieFan coined the perfect new term for them, they are now the Counterfeit News Network.

 

The hacker (and other things) site 4chan faked a security dossier on Donald Trump and then fed it to the U.S. intelligence community which accepted it as fact without being able to verify any part of it and then they leaked it to the leftist press which ran with it. Then 4-chan admitted what they had done. There is more to it than that. Apparently John McCain was also involved in this at some point in also believing without a shred of proof in the allegations against Trump, and so he helped put this into motion as well.

 

Excuse me? If any news organization had presented the same thing against Obama as fact then the Left would have gone insane and probably would have begun lynching any journalists or reporters they could find working for that organization. As it was Barack Obama DID TRY to freeze out Fox News from presidential news conferences BECAUSE they had hurt his feelings speaking the TRUTH about him. But of course leftists don't want to remember that factoid.

Yes he did, apparently. But so what? Everyone knows that McCain went full blown RINO long, long ago. Nowadays he's like Jessie Helms, someone who should have been put out to political pasture a decade previous, but whose voting base keep stubbornly returning him to office.
