...yes, why should I tolerate being called a RN , when people of color don't want me to use the "N" word..?
Okay so this is a common misconception. I'll explain it for your benefit: Racism is prejudice + power. Power is an essential component in making something racist. Since the white patriarchy controls the government, only whites can actually be racist, just as only men can be sexist. Therefore, ethnic minorities (I will self-flagellate for saying the offensive term ethnic) can never be racist, only prejudiced. NB: The exception to this is when ethnic minorities (more self-flagellation) control the government, as in Zimbabwe/SA. In this case whites can still only be racist because they control all the wealth. Well, at least they did before the black government sent in men with assault rifles to massacre white families and steal their farms. This is also why it's okay for the South African cricket team to discriminate against whites in the selection process - it's "positive" discrimination. Just remember: racism = prejudice + power, unless minority groups hold the power.
Why is it stupid? I think the RN words are repulsive and demeaning just like the "N" word! Most blacks call themselves "N's"....Some Whites call themselves RN's....but don't you think its inappropriate to use the "RN" word, if I can't even spell the word "N"?.....all I want is equality....!!!Just because I'm white doesn't make me immune to slander...I don't play Basket Ball and make ten zillion dollars a year...I just want clarification on equality...if a black is offended by the "N" word, then I'm offended by the "RN" word!...Get it? Its equal rights!
Bahahahahaha. That was a good joke. Cause a common white guy going down the street has more power over a black guy going down the street and when they each call the other the racial epitaph and the same time, it only hurts the black guy cause somewhere off in DC land, more whites are elected than blacks. Even if it happened in Baltimore where the true minority is whites, the black guy is clearly the victim cause on a bigger scale(national), whites out number blacks. But on a bigger scale (global), blacks out number whites. That's a good one with such moveable goal posts. Lets not use the dictionary definition of racism, lets use this new made up definition or else we cant play the victim card.
Just tell them its not your preferred pronoun and call them a bigot for not calling you "zim". Then you can get the LGBTQ+ARRP community involved and maybe get a victim war started about who is more oppressed. - - - Updated - - - Oh, is RN not designated to a specific race? What if he called someone redskin? Now is it racist?
why use either word? I think both words should not be used, and I do not think it should depend on the race of the person using the words
Redneck doesn't and really never has had the same negative connotation as the N word, so there's that. Redskin, not so sure about it.
Nobody is forcing you to tolerate it. You’re free to complain, to specific incidents or in general terms. Of course, the people who use the term might choose to ignore or dismiss your objections, just as the those who continue to call black people n-word do. That sounds like equality to me.
Offense to the the word (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) (i refuse to refer to words by their first letter, it's childish) is stupid. Poeple need to grow up. It's just a word. It only has power over you if you give it that. Redneck, honkey, cracker, and white bread as well as other pejorative terms for the white devil hold no control over them because they don't allow it. Basically put you can't fight stupidity with stupidity. Attempting to control other peoples' speech in order to protect your feelings is symptomatic of cultural Marxism. I'd say label yourself a redneck, embrace it. There are some great people that are rednecks. You'll never be offended when someone calls you that.
Says who?...I am a slow white person...and it hurts me to the core when I am called the "Racist name! ... Yes Red Neck is racist........it demeans a class of white people..
Does it really hurt you to the core? Honestly? Because "redneck" and "n---er" aren't on the same wavelength of offensive.
Wrong. Racial OPPRESSION = prejudice + power. Racism is treating people differently, positively or negatively, due to the color of their skin. - - - Updated - - - I guess I have to ask... what is a RN besides a Registered Nurse? - - - Updated - - - Oh... got it. Red Neck. Yeah... a red neck is not comparable to being called a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*). Just look at that sentence. One is "eh, whatever" while the other is "gasp... that isn't right".
You mean the "N" word? Well, it is (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*). That is how you spell it. Look, you have absolutely every right in the world to call a black person a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and they have every right to call you a red neck. Equality. There... you have been edified. You have equal rights. EDIT: Wow, the Mods here have blocked the word (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)? That is lame. Word censors are lame in general.
Anything can be racist if that is the intent. I can call a white guy cracker, whitey, limey, Yankee or whatever. White guy to black says, "YOU! You think you are better than me?"
all im saying is if the "N" word is sensored , so should be the RN term! Equal justice!...Equal Justice!..
Wait a second, are you telling me crackers, *****, and gooks don't get the same protections as (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s? That seems racist...
'Redneck' is a derogatory term used against whites based on skin color. By any definition it should be banned along with the 'N' word and others.
Just calling someone a nurse is not accurate enough. RN is more accurate as it describes a specific level of nursing that one has achieved and is employed in. As your education and cerfitifcation levels rise, you can go even higher up the chain than R.N., which I believe is either PA(Physician's Assistant) or NP(Nurse Practitioner)
There is no law against using the N word, nor against being a racist in general. As far as I can see, it is perfectly appropriate for you to take offence at being called a Redneck, in fact I would prefer it if you did. Name-calling stifles debate.
