Cool, and the Muslims can all blow back to the Hejaz and the Nejd and the Greeks can have their strip of land in the Levant back.

Israel is mainly right in this conflict, mainly.
but they do have to give concessions of some sort if this conflict is to ever end.
from my watching this thing over decades of same o same o. I am not excited to the possibilities.
    But one can hope.
Jerusalem will in all likelihood have to be split between the two in some form.

Jew comes from the French word Juif, which comes from the Roman word Iudeaous, which means "someone from Judah"

I don't know a damn thing about the League of Nations system, nor do you.

But I DO know that UNGA resolutions are not legally binding.

    Only UNSC resolutions are.

Jerusalem under Israeli control means that all can come and worship in safety.

How many major religions are there... Judaism, Christianity... Buddhism and others are all welcome. Not Muslims.

    What does it tells you?

I say again- the Security Council is the executive branch of the United Nations. Only Chapter 7 Resolutions can cause enforcement. That does not mean to say that any other Resolutions not carry weight under law. There are many means of having the results of Resolutions complied with without resorting to enforcement.

Right, if you don't mind the spit, Jewish terrorism and savagery :

EXCERPT “The secretary-general of the Islamic-Christian Committee in Support of Jerusalem and the Holy Sites, Hanna Issa, harshly denounced the latest attack and described it as part of ongoing crimes against Islamic and Christian holy sites such as cemeteries, churches, mosques, and religious icons. He said, “These latest rounds of terrorism and savagery are carried out with the blessing of the Israeli government. This attack is just one example of numerous violations aimed at destroying the deeply rooted Arab, Islamic and Christian history of the Holy Land.”CONTINUED

the UNSC never voted to confirm UNGA 181.

Nobody is perfect, Grau. And if some super-orthodox Jews spit on some Christians now and then, they'll kiss the next day and forget about - don't call it a Jewish terrorism and savagery for it is not.

Muslims, of course, are whole another animal. Insult them, and risk losing your head. Literally :)

    Which is it:

    1."Nobody is perfect"

    Or:

2."Muslims, of course, are whole another animal"

When I first entered the Islamic World, I accidentally offended some of my Muslim hosts but they understood that I was unfamiliar with Muslim etiquette, quickly forgave me & explained the basics. My first hand experience with Muslims is that they are very patient and quite forgiving.

As you know, it's not unheard of for some hot-headed people in the U.S. to shoot someone who steals their parking space so I don't think that individual Muslims are any more volatile than anyone else

I didn't coin the phrase: Zionist "terrorism and savagery", I was simply citing Hanna Issa (see below).
However Zionist barbarism against Occupied Palestinians is widely known and probably the reason that Israel is considered one of the most unpopular countries on the planet.[1]

How frequently do you kiss people who spit on you?

Yes, they do. General Assembly Resolutions are based upon the authority of extant international law, customary law and precedent.

You keep making the same mistake time after time. Security Council Resolutions are also based upon the authority of extant international law, customary law and precedent. However, under a Chapter 7 SC Resolution the United Nations can enforce rulings directly .

It didn't have to. Resolution 181 passed in favor of the creation of a Jewish homeland within Palestine. Israel exists without any such ..er....' confirmation '. UNGAR 181 was quite enough.

as per the United Nations Charter, ONLY UNSC resolutions are legally binding.

Under Article 25 of the Charter, UN member states are bound to carry out "decisions of the Security Council in accordance with the present Charter". Resolutions made under Chapter VII are considered binding, but resolutions under Chapter VI have no enforcement mechanisms and are generally considered to have no binding force under international law. In 1971, however, a majority of the then International Court of Justice (ICJ) members asserted in the non-binding Namibia advisory opinion that all UN Security Council resolutions are legally binding

Thank you for sharing this - very touching. I've ate more pork ribs and drunk more cognac with Muslims than with any other people; does it makes me an expert like yourself on cultural relations? Probably not.

You're getting warmer. All Resolutions have the authority of international law- but only Chapter 7 SC Resolutions are enforceable by military means.

The Arabs wanted war, they started wars several times and lost every time. The price they pay for their hatred and love of violence is the loss of Jerusalem. Now its rightful owners live in Jerusalem.

You can whine about the law, but until the muslims and Palestinians obey the law themselves you are spitting into the wind.
