A day without an immigrant means there are now 39 people without jobs - FIRED!

There's nothing like being the tail and think you can wag the dog. Apparently we can do without immigrants as shown by the below stories.

Anyone who thought they could not show up for work - via no call/no show no less - and not be disciplined because they're too valuable is an idiot. They were even told not to pull this stunt and did it any way.

These people are at the bottom of the food chain and thought they'd teach people their true value. Well, now we just learned how valuable they were.

So, firing over First Amendment rights? That's as bad as a employer firing a employee over a social media photo or post.

 

While I agree that firing an employee over a social media post should be off limits, the people in this story weren't fired over their free speech rights - no government agency chimed in demanding they be fired - they were fired as a consequence of them. The bottom line is they were fired for not showing up for work no show/no call style.

 

Yet they were not absent for a whole week, it was a day, not a week.

 

Now that the companies have been identified as hiring illegal aliens they should have some heavy civil and criminal penalties imposed on them.

I don't know if you work for a living yet, but a lesson you should understand is that you don't take time off your job without permission. Ever. If you want that kind of flexibility, work for yourself. It's really pretty simple.

 

Some of these were not fruit pickers. I thought they just came here to do jobs americans would not do. If not for illegals some of these factories would be forced by supply demand to pay higher wages to americans who would do those jobs. This is how illegal workers drive down wages. Course the owners love it.....maximizing profits. Free trade does the rest, depressing wages. Too bad that wages is what we must have to survive. Messing with survival seems a bit nefarious to me. Unacceptable no matter how you want spin it.

Faux liberals want illegal immigration. Boy, they must really despise blue collar americans. Do they think blue collar people are beneath themselves? Kinda like the class differences in Merrry Old England? Or worse, are blue collar americans the untouchables for Faux Liberals? Is it because most of them want to work, to have a job that rewards them for hard work? And would rather not be on their welfare? Trump supporters.

 

These folks were fired for costing the employer operating losses for an issue that has nothing to do with the business. The walkout was insanity. One can arguably strike over safety issues or pay etc, but harming a business over something it can do nothing about is betrayal of a fiduciary.

I just moved to California (no choice, job transfer, hate it here) and I doubt companies could do that here. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if employers were forced to give those lazy workers a paid holiday in order to go protest.
This really is a liberal hell hole I'm living in and I can't wait to leave. There is just too much hate and intolerance in California.

To be totally fair they didn't take those jobs. Employers gave them those jobs because they work cheap.
