A video of a Syrian child who lost his legs in a raid on Idlib has sparked outrage across the globe.

The disturbing video that went viral shows the Syrian child on the ground, unable to move, as he calls to his father to carry him out of the debris caused by the raid.

According to Syrian activists, the raid carried out by Assad forces killed a mother and her three children.

    And the world does nothing...
Maybe they would if that poor child was Palestinian ..
Arabs are the ONLY cause for other Arab's death and suffer.

Sad, really sad. This is where a strong UN would be helpful. And the rest of the world could apply the pressure to stop the madness.

    You are right.
But the "UN" is spending it's time dealing with pro Arab Muslim resolutions and not in real problems.
The Syrian children are dying because the world does not care about them.. The world cares about Palestinians..
    I wonder why ?
How thousands Syrian dead children are worth less than one Palestinian ?

the Syrian children are dying because the neocon warmongers armed an army of foreign mercenary fighters and created large scale war in Syria.

    OFGS.

The two versions of Islam are at war. The Jews have nothing to do with that.

I am merely copying the mountain of posts and threads ruined by MGB with his constant call of Arabs/Muslims/Palestinians are the cause of all violence in the middle east. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

I notice you do not ask MGB what Palestine has to do with the conflict, are you a Jew, you sound like one?

So the Assad meat grinder is still working as of this hour,
    OMG,
what could I say, plain monstrosity,
and they wanted US soldiers to participate?
I think it's better to stay at home.

I try my best not to be pulled too deeply into those trash Mideast arguments. The Palestinians should have been paid for their land and been happily integrated into Arab society elsewhere at least by the 1950's. Why they were not says something about the Palestinians, the Israelis, and the Arab world as a whole.

I think what my esteemed colleague means is the obsessive and time consuming dealings the UN humanitarian org's have around Israel and the Palestinians compared to a place that actually has a genocide going on for years,

It doesnt mean the Isr-Pal fued does not deserve attention but it seems its easy to deal with that rather than Syria and the powers, and so the UN is a political tool that avoids priority crisis and sticks to those it can stick :icon_picknose:

Nope it has to do with rights which came about largely to make sure what happened to Jews in world war 2 never happened to anyone again. Sad that now this sort of thinking is seen by some as 'normal' again.

Really Gilos, looked to me like just another of MGB's rants against Arabs Muslims and Palestinians. This time cloaked as concern for a Syrian Child!

I think I can answer that: Syrians equals 'Assad', and are therefore to be demonised and hated; Palestinians - especially children  - are the downtrodden, and victims of 'Israel', therefore deserving of a simplistic knee-jerk compassion irrespective of the circumstances.

So.. The UN is doing wrong by dealing each week and each session with one wounded Palestinian instead of dealing with Syrian massive death and genocide ?

No, the UN is wrong for not dealing with Yemen where actually real genocide takes place. Famine in 21st century, kids dying from diarrhea, etc...etc...Yemen-textbook genocide. Syria-civil war.

On a slight tangent... would losing both legs like that not sever arteries and make him bleed out? I'm confused as to how he would be alive...? My knowledge of anatomy and medicine isn't great, I admit.

Thanks for confirming this thread is not about a little boy in Syria, but another one bemoaning that Israel is not allowed to get away with its treatment of the Palestinians without world scrutiny.

Go and send this to the Saudi Royal family and the Ayatollahs in Iran. They started this war and they are to blame. If is the result of Islam, I don't want it in my counrtry. We better get a Muslim ban up and running ASAP.

Yeah, that was my thought, too. I saw a video of a lady in Donetsk that had one leg blown off by a Ukrainian shell. She was in agony and bled out and died in a few minutes.

This kid, however, didn't seem to be in agony (shock?). In fact, he was sitting up with both legs blown off!! Now, the video isn't very clear, but it seems like balance would be a problem.

I said a "strong UN". The UN is not strong today. George W. Bush bashed the UN, and the world followed his lead. It doesn't command near the respect that it did as recently as the 1990s. Ironically, Bush the 1st, believed in the UN. He adhered to UN resolutions, followed UN protocol in removing Iraq from Kuwait, and played the part of a true diplomat.
