It more than halved our gun murders....... This country has a lower murder rate than it has had for 50 years.

We are already well under the average murder rate in the world (which is 6.2 per 100k, per UNODC stats, ours is 3.9 per 100k. Europe's average is 3.0 per 100k. We aren't in bad company, considering that we have the most heterogenous population in the First world, and are located in a region (North America) with murder rates over 4 times ours).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate (the data in the chart is from UNODC stats, but is much easier to read).

Why is the homicide rate in England and Wales higher now that it was for the entire 20th century? Why does Russia, with very strict gun laws, have a homicide rate 3 times that of the US? Why does Taiwan have a homicide rate 75% that of the US with almost no guns in private hands? Why does Scotland, with exactly the same laws as England and Wales, have a 48% higher homicide rate?

Are there any other factors that need to be considered with regards to comparing the US to the First World, like demographics, limitations on police powers, protected rights, etc.?

Anti-Gun advocates should answer one question, if most "Violence" is committed by Minorities inside and outside the Ghetto, and most Prison Inmates are Minorities, how does passing Legislation that only Directly affects non Minorities going to equal Crime prevention methods such as revised sentencing guidelines ??
    And no early release ?

When has any gun control law ever only applied to one ethnic group? That is hilarious

Gotta be frustrating to see just the opposite happening in the states, and you just gotta know it ain't gonna happen at the federal level. Gun control is being dismantled step by step, piece by piece and there is not a thing one the anti's can point to that demonstrates their strategy actually works. It's a good time to be a proud American helping to "Make America Great Again":unclesam:

If someone would be so kind as to relay the following response to the member Vegas Giants so it will actually be possible for him to read such:

Then if states are implementing their own firearm-related restrictions, there is simply no need for the federal government to get involved in the matter, as states are more than able to handle the matter themselves without any federal assistance.

Especially compared to the states that have loosened their gun control laws - first from no-issue to shall-issue to constitutional carry.

VT VH ME - bloodbaths, all.

A great reason to live in Indiana but I do fear the infestation of socialist liberals in the capitol will have it's effect.

Regular Americans do not champion the oppression of natural rights. Only those that have no education in American civics do.

Only when they are abused to violate other rights except for progressive abuses. Try again.
