The convicted jewish murderer Perry Avram March claims that his jailkeepers are "antisemites" who deliberately serve him substandard kosher food in order to force him to break the tenets of his religion, so he's suing the prison, and according to some sources, this could cost the taxpayers millions of dollars: http://www.jewishpress.com/news/jew...ison-over-substandard-kosher-food/2017/02/20/ http://fox6now.com/2017/02/10/inmates-special-meal-request-may-cost-taxpayers-millions/ What do you think about this case, folks? Is the prison staff composed of "antisemites" who deliberately serve this jewish murderer substandard kosher food in order to force him to break the tenets of his religion? And is there really a chance that this bizarre legal battle could cost the taxpayers millions of dollars?
The dummies who caved on the first case years ago are responsible for this case as well. While the food should be of good quality the rule should be eat it or starve, and then we will bury you. They sure don't have this kind of problem in North Korea, Mexico, or the Philippines.
If you're in the can, you eat what you're given (as long as it meets universal nutritional needs) - just like a child. Choice is for those of us who don't commit crimes.
Dog **** probably contains enough nutritional content. I am satisfied with prisoners basically getting a public school canteen menu. Pies, sausage rolls, the occasional sandwich, etc. Cheap, basic food.
...complaining about the quality of the kosher food he receives is substandard, which he believes is a veiled attempt to force him to break the tenets of his religion, The Tennessean reported. Uhm, excuse me, but I think murdering your wife is a much more serious violation of the tenets of judaism. Or maybe not? I don't know, I'm not an expert on judaism so I guess I really can't say.
Prisoners have human rights -- according to US laws, Jewish, Muslim and Christian Orthodox prisoners have a right to food their religion allows.
I know a prisoner who looked into converting because in CA, Jewish prisoners get better food. I forget what aspect of it was better, but it ended up being too difficult to convert from the inside
Everyone else should be able to win a 14th Amendment suit against the prisons for being denied the food of their individual choice.
There are tens of thousands of frivolous lawsuits filed by prisoners each year. I guess you're only interested in this one because it fits your political leanings. The real story here is that the reason he gets substandard food (if in fact he does) is because there are so few Jewish prisoners in American jails they have no need for kosher food.
He should have claimed he was a Muslim, California wouldn't dare question that. Then claim to be a woman. Better food and he'd get moved to a private suite in a safer female prison. That is of course unless California doesn't just release him because I'm pretty sure incarcerating a tranny Muslim is a hate crime.
Here's your freedom of religion. What a contrivance. Religion ruins everything. Anyone claiming this guy should not be given his just due is a hypocrite if you support freedom of religion. Religion needs to disappear.
That would have been a bit pointless as Kosher food is stricter than Halal and Muslims can, in most cases, eat Kosher food. But as for your statement, no one questioned anything. My take, you're in prison, the food served was Kosher, too bad if you think that it is substandard
Prisoners in the UK were regularly suing for relatively trivial matters because they have little else to do and hoped to get free money. They used to be eligible for free legal aid which I think (and hope) is no longer available
I think the convicted criminal will have a very hard time proving that the Kosher food is "substandard". Also I do not believe that the law in general would support a prisoner complaining over the nuanced allegation of their perceived quality of food in prison. Imagine Black prisoners suing over Soul food not having enough sole or soul in it. Or a prisoner of Polish persuasion complaining that he needs hand made Pirogies or Mafia criminals bitching that their pasta is not eldente' enough. Enough is enough I say!
What about people, like me, that are intolerant or allergic to gluten. Should they eat what is given to them even though it could kill them?
Yes, I agree with you. For example, I don’t eat the corpses of murdered animals, and if I were ever to be convicted of a crime (wrongfully, of course) and sent to prison, I would obviously want the prison staff to respect my beliefs (which aren’t really "beliefs", but common sense; that you shouldn’t support murder). However, it doesn't seem like the jewish wife-murderer March's rights are being violated because according to the articles that I posted in my OP, he is getting kosher food, he just complains that the kosher food is substandard, which I suspect is a lie.
Israel refuses to extradite jewish murderer to the US because he wouldn't receive kosher food there: http://failedmessiah.typepad.com/fa...e-man-who-drove-drunk-and-killed-man-345.html And if you don't think that Failed Messiah is a reliable source, we find the same story in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz: http://www.haaretz.com/israeli-judg...less-u-s-prison-provides-kosher-food-1.412728 According to some news reports, he was brought back to the US a couple of years after these articles were published.
He's in prison. He murdered his wife. They should lock him in his cell with a bowl and a bag of Gravy Train. Over time, he could decide if he wants to eat... or not.
