Why are you here?

Well, I don't believe all of you want to ban all guns, I just believe that you are misguided in thinking that gun restrictions will stop or reduce criminal misuse of guns, while in reality, they will just be a PITA for law-abiding citizens, while doing almost nothing to stop crime. I know that people like you can't be reasoned with. I argue primarily for the lurkers who never post, and who read our threads. The active participants aren't going to change their minds.

 

Statistics show that there is a much higher likelihood of being killed by a redneck armed to the teeth (as in Sandy Hook) than by some wacko Islamic terrorist.

I certainly do not regard lifting the ban on mentally ill people from owning guns as a sign of progress. You're fine with that??

 

Sandy Hook was not committed by a redneck armed to the teeth. It was by a crazy geek who killed his mother. Love the way the left doesn't seem to grasp reality.

I don't necessarily believe that citizens that want gun control want to ban all guns. I do believe however that these citizens while well intended, do not understand the long term goal of elite anti gun politicians. I debate here to hopefully educate these people and let them know that their beliefs are not the goal of the elite anti gun political class. They are being misled.
I know I will not change minds of the staunch anti gunners. But maybe some people that read these post are still on the fence and just need a little education.

There's a lot of lurkers that don't say much but read it. Personally I'm glad Vegas is here, he's great for the pro-gun side.

 

He does provoke debate and the lurkers or newbies get the benefit of seeing logic vs emotion. Thats a good thing.

 

I am sure it isn't wacked-out Muslims, as we are taught to fear most. My point is that the disgusting muslims only cause a small percentage of violent deaths in this country. We lead the world in violent deaths.

 

Oh so you want to claim 1% of the US population which is Muslim commits "very few crimes". Meanwhile we have over 1000 open investigations into Islamic terrorism of that tiny demographic.

But then, 52% of the murder in this country is committed by maybe 3% of the population, which are black males between the ages of 14 and 30 and who have a murder rate of over 90 per 100k.

So I guess small percentages of the population committing the bulk of violence isn't something we're inexperienced at.

 

So no thought on the potential to end up like Germany, Belgium, Sweden, UK or other European countries that are suffering from their lax immigration policies regarding Muslim refugees?

I think people see the insults being hurled around here too and factor that into the argument.....or lack thereof

I saw a Man yesterday in Popeyes, he had his pants down so far you could see his junk.
It qualified as indecent exposure, should Children be exposed to seeing
a Man's junk .??

A few months ago, I was in an Autozone picking up parts, I saw 2 guys with their pants down, when I was paying, the guys ran out with armloads of stuff and jumped into a waiting car and drive off.

You see Minorities that feel this behavior is just fine and Liberals are Ok with it too.

However, Liberals quote Crime statistics statistics and fail to point out, it is people like that commiting Crimes of Violence and Gun Control will never stop men like that.
