If you read the books of the NT in order of composition, there is a clear evolution of the Jesus story. Paul hardly mentions Jesus' life and is totally silent on miracles and the virgin birth, yet by the time Matthew is written some fifty years later, our protagonist is a magically conceived demigod who resurrects along with hundreds of zombies and floats into outer space.
Paul was the first to write and preach about Jesus. Paul created the Jesus character to sell his religion of resurrection. He wasn't concerned about developing his character's early life story. His selling point was that he died and was resurrected and that if people believed that then they too could have eternal life. Paul created most of the Christian rituals and doctrines. Paul's disciples then wrote the back stories to show why Jesus was worthy of being worshipped. They also included some of the acts of the three main Jewish rebel leaders as some of Jesus' deeds. So they also made it into a political story as well as a mystery religion one. Although I used the word "wrote" it might be better to say that they created the oral stories. Those stories were written centuries later and attributed to earlier people in order to sell the religion. The traditional story is just a big prank. If you think about it logically and rationally you will see that it's just an elaborate fraud.
Not sure of some of your assertions there. I doubt many scholars think that Matthew was written 50 years after Paul wrote his epistles. They were written almost at the same time...and they were written with different intentions.
"Most scholars believe the Gospel of Matthew was composed between AD 80 and 90, with a range of possibility between AD 70 to 110 (a pre-70 date remains a minority view)." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_of_Matthew
Jesus Christ. And Matthew is God's profit Lutheran bible in USA ? Jesus Christ is one holy God in every bible in Christianity ? For Christian trio Catholic / Orthodox / Lutheran.
Germans have not other God than Jesus Christ I Believe. They must learn speak the language ones telling me the truth.
Jesus Christ has believers from Jewish ?! Israel's God áre weather God. England's God are rain God. Jesus Christ are top 3 or top 5 biggest Gods for he's trusted. Maybe Allah is bigger than Jesus Christ. And Lord I never can know. Lord have Three nation's how trusted on he > Finn + Swedes + Americans. Englishmen trust in Jesus Christ and God. Catholics trust in Jesus Christ and God. According roman Catholic are Jesus Christ the only God how exist they want this. Alone I now want to trusted in Jesus Christ like Germany Citizen. God's believer in Germany are only atheist. I was an atheist till this day perhaps very true. I can visit Swedish Lutheran Church if is necassary.
of course one would have to have half a brain to see that, it is obvious that the four Gospels and no other books in the NT discuss the life and times of Jesus Christ the Son of God to any extent. the gospels are so people can read for themselves what Jesus Christ the Word God made flesh for the Salvation of men's souls, did and said as witnessed or documented by the writers thereof, the rest of the books are the beginning of the fulfillment of what Jesus told His Apostles to do, which is relevant to what they were doing at the time they wrote such books.
But Catholic want Christ are alone God. Maybe my God willings Christ my mind. My voices want same things.
Paul had a different mission. His Epistles explain the relationship of the believer and Jesus with the Father. The more I study Paul's writings, it's clear why God chose him to write the majority of the New Testament.
SELECT A BOOK (Index) CHAPTER VERSE As you can see, the intro does not signify that Jesus is God..If Jesus was God, God would not need to give something to Jesus...Plus I doubt Christ would be returning on a white steed, maybe a white Mustang convertible.. Revelation Chapter 1 1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 9I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 19Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; 20The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
Read verse 8 again. There's only one Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Almighty. Jesus is speaking. He is clearly stating He is God. Read Isaiah 44:6. That's the end of this debate. Jesus isn't God the Father, but he clearly says he is God the son. God of Israel. The burning bush. The one who spoke to Moses, gave the commandments. The one who spoke to Israel and the prophets.
Yes, read in that order the development of the myth, politics and theology is more apparent. Add the non-Canonical writings (many of which are certainly 2nd century) and the development and trends are even clearer. Consider next the granularity of authoritative textual criticism (i.e., not theistic apologetics) which demonstrate specific changes, redactions and additions to earlier text. Last, compare the development of other myths, legends and fictional history involving supernatural and magic claims. The parallels are quite evident. Of course, some of these myths continue to have ardent believers. Few, if any, of them analyze the situation with any form of rational, skeptical and/or objective thinking. Instead, they tend to rely on irrational apologetics, claims of special knowledge, logical fallacies, invented "facts", personal emotional needs and a host of other well documented tactics to maintain their mental compartmentalization and to avoid cognitive dissonance.
There were certainly many apocalyptic Jewish sects before and at the time of the writing of Revelations. And, of course, Christianity is primarily an apocalyptic theology.
On a scale of plus 1 to 100 your reading comprehension is a negative 99. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=revelation&version=NLT;CEV;TLB;MSG;ERV
