The most I'd let the Socialists have are the worthless desert and scrub lands to the South and East. The Devil's Playground between Needles and Barstow should be their capital.

 

I think the proposal is to split East/West, not North/South.

 

Why build a wall? It's illegal to secede. So if they did, we would bring that back by force. You should have watched CSPAN when Texas was talking about seceding. The left was loving the civil war talk.

Of course there will be no civil war. The argument from the left was that Texas seceding is an act of war. If a state wants to secede, the union considers it military action as well as a tear in the incorporation pact.

Not sure why people debate this. Just 4 years ago the left was saying the same thing about Texas. What's changed?

I agree. My initial reply was more of a joke. However, there are people on both sides who believe this to be happening.

every Federal dollar we send to D.C. No Federal water to save producing
fruit and nut groves during the drought. And the Federals occupy 45% of this
precious and Greatest State of California!

California did a better job at primary education before the Federal's CORE curriculum and tests.

It would make sense to bifurcate Texas and return the southern half to Mexico.

That way, Mexicans who think that they have immigrated into the US would really just be in northern Mexico.

A lot of Californians suggested a Cal-exit after Trump won the election. It sounds like win win to me. Trump will no longer be their president, and they will no longer be in the United States. What's not to like about this plan?

Where do you think all of those Americans who use to keep California's tax coffers full went too ? Starting in the late 1970's Georgia and the South. Then Texas, Nevada, Idaho and Arizona. And soon industry would flee California.

What heavy industry still exist today in California today ? They all got out of town. Isn't California rated as the most business unfriendly state in America ?

It was the liberal loons who had a mental break down that Donald Trump defeated Crooked Hillary and after their Play Dough dried up they wanted to secede from the union (United States) instead moving to a white country with little diversity like Canada, like they promised they would do if Trump won.

The current idea that this thread topic is about is splitting California into two states based upon political ideology.

A statist state of loons, nuts, fruits, low information losers supporting uneducated, unskilled leeches who can't speak English in what would be "The Peoples Socialist State of West California."

And a separate state of Americans who aren't scared of breaking a sweat making a living who cherish American values of personal freedoms, the Constitution, the rule of law and taking personal \responsibilities of their lives and actions. That would be "The Republic of East California."

 

People living here have long spoke of picking some latitude and making it North Ca and South CA. But a split up the state from South to North? Frankly the population in such a state would be very very small. Few are brave to live in the high sierra or the deserts.

 

You are talking about 8 more Senators and 4 Congressmen in Congress and four state governors and state legislatures who are mostly crack heads.

I think the Democrats would be on board on such an idea.

 

They would be the ones who aren't afraid to break a sweat I think.

 

They do live up in the mountains. I have visited some of them. When there, in good weather, one imagines life there. But they have some winters I don't plan to deal with.

 

Dividing Cali in that way is so far beyond dumb it requires no real discussion.

 

Living in the mountains or the desert takes the American pioneer spirit and I have done both. I have lived in the Shingle Town area in the mountains east of Redding and the winters suck. I have lived in the Mojave Desert and the summers suck.

The California's "Central Valley" (that would be part of East California) from Bakersfield to Redding is as hot as the Mohave Desert during the summer and it sucks. It takes a real American to be able to live their. Ever wonder why pantywaist liberals don't live is such areas ? Hey Robert...you been there and done that and are old enough to remember when America was great and California was the "Golden State" and was # 1 in America, #1 in everything that was good. Today California is a one party rule state (totalitarian state) and it sucks.
