This is a problem rife in the third world. if we were to think about why the women get left behind and the men escape them, this is because the men do not want to settle down. maybe if we were able to make it more comely for the men, like showing them 'a fantasy that they would like to be a part of,' then we could see the fathers return to the mothers? Media is a powerful outlet. if we were to have adverts with families hugging for the winter, then some men might grab their bottle of beer and say it is nothing that they want to be a part of, but come winter, when the media shows them drunk on the side walk without a woman to care for them, or in their old age with nobody to look after them, maybe they will change their mind? In the mean time, the women need financial support. this can be accomplished by taxing 'all unwed men' a certain amount, to support the people that really need it. this would be a minor tax, as i suppose that only about ten percent of all women are 'young unwed mothers?'
https://www.childtrends.org/indicators/births-to-unmarried-women/ In 2013, 72 percent of all births to black women, 66 percent to American Indian or Alaskan native women, and 53 percent to Hispanic women occurred outside of marriage, compared with 29 percent for white women, and 17 percent for Asian or Pacific Islander women. Destruction of the nuclear family is the single greatest threat to society.
Having the state force things on people, as opposed to goading them into cooperating, is less sought, yes?
Your suggestion was to tax all single men to pay for the kids of other men. Why is state power to force people who had nothing to do with the problem pay OK but state power to force the actual people responsible to pay should be, "less sought?"
I think you will find that the more of society is involved in the problem the more the parents will feel the pressure, and, the more the society will get involved, in, a less verbose manner.
That's like saying that if someone commits a murder, all citizens should share some portion of the criminals sentence. That would get society involved.
Women are gate keepers of sex. Also women are the ones going after the bad boys who doesn't want to take care of children.
Women are under NO obligation to "care for" men. Men are expected to take care of themselves like all other adults. Children need financial support and there ARE LAWS in place to get fathers to pay it. We all pay taxes that go towards poor children....that's what The World's Greatest Country does, takes care of the less fortunate.....doesn't it???????? Your post sounds like 19th century teetotalers rallying cry... Did it EVER occur to you that some women do NOT want to be married......
"Gate keepers of sex" HILARIOUSLY ridiculous!!! Women are responsible for everything? What!? Ya, so if anything goes wrong you can blame women?.....why am I not surprised... So you're saying men are so much less responsible than women? They are uncontrolled animals?
I can have access to the gate but I choose not to for various reasons. Women complaining or reporting rape to the police when they gave consent is one of them. This has nothing to do with the subject you're making personal attacks instead of making an argument.
I can fix this if a man and a woman have a baby and its DNA proven to be their children automatically assume they are married under common law and don't allow them to divorce until all their children turn eighteen that would make men and women think a lot before having sex protected or not. If either is married enact adultery and polygamy laws and toss both into prison for making babies out of wedlock. There solved the issue.
Ayup...we definitely need to regulate sex and reproduction but, this should be a juvenile law as well and all females should be inspected weekly for possible penetration either manually or with an automated probe. Males must ejaculate into a semen recognition receptacle to assure they are the accurate DNA when tested against blood drawn from the fetus.
And men are the willing participants. This is a PEOPLE problem, not a female problem. They can't do it alone.
