I got one for being handsome. Another for being witty. A third for bowling a 280 and finally a fourth for making my 25th post.
I would like the trophies much better if they were more sarcastic like "200 posts without a like" and "1000 posts? Get a life!"
I'm getting to like the Anarcistic dude, (I forget the moniker) & the Finder guy. Although mostly drivel, the posts give me deep, soulful belly laughs.
There are way too many posters on here to keep track of. Alot of you guys post tons of good sh*t, but I rarely even bother to memorise your nicks and avatars. There are probably only 10 posters I could name. @crank is pretty cool, but she needs an avatar so that she is easier to recognise. I hate people who change their avatars too often, that sh*t is confusing.
Tecoyah(dry and witty), Frank Apisa(wise and down to earth), Bowerbird(funny) ,Monkrules,Crank(cranky as in being a crank, not irritable) and others too numerous to mention.
One Mind makes very well-reasoned posts that I find informative. Apacherat seems to know quite a few factual things I find interesting. There are many others...I usually place people that make posts I find informative and interesting on my "follow" list so I can find what they are commenting on when I have time to do that.
My favorite posters are those that offer the most entertainment value---who's beliefs, ideas and opinions are most counter to my own. Generally, those on the Left, Globalists and pro-Muslims.
Yes, kind of along those lines. Anti-Trumpsters are among the more silly posters here. Aren't you entertained by the clowns at the circus?
I'm still relatively new, here and finding my way around. I'm not at all used to having so many people to interact with on a forum; it takes awhile to get to know people and where they generally stand. For me, the best contributions come from people who are not blinded by bias. What I'm really missing is a quality conservative view point. Can someone give me some recommendations? A lot of the conservatives are just posting one-liners along the lines of, "but Hillary," or "but Obama," or "liberal tears are delicious." (Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of butt hurt going on from the liberals, too, but I've found a few that are able to articulate their views quite well and aren't playing the victim card.)
This forum carries a few of the "Old School" conservative mentality but it is rare and often drowned out, labelled RINO or even liberal by the newer version which bares little resemblance to what you seek. As a general rule we seldom contribute to political threads anymore because of this and for myself at least no longer even accept the Republican label. Once I did so I found myself recognizing more and more of what I consider true conservatives in the Reagan mold.
