That's actually not accurate. The original scripture actually does not say "Thou shalt not kill" but "You will not murder." There's plenty of passages in the Bible stating where killing is perfectly rational and justifiable, and killing to defend yourself and/or your loved ones is not a sin.
Would depend on ones view. Scripture does say that it is blessed to give ones life for another, and then too that one who lives by the sword dies by the sword. Scripture also says that when a thief breaks into someone’s house at night and that person defends his home and slays the thief, God does not hold that death over the defender’s head. However, if a thief is struck down during the daylight then the defender is guilty of bloodshed. This is speaking of thievery, not an attack. So if the thief were to attack the defender during the day, perhaps self-defense would be justified. It again becomes one of opinion.
Not an answer. Even the illegals have lower crime rates then citizens, or legal immigrants. https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/research/criminalization-immigration-united-states
None of which changes the fact that they are committing a crime with their mere presence on the united states.
No, but it does change the "fact" of their committing crimes. BTW, do you think the time will ever come when ICE will go after "really bad hombres" instead of housewives, and those who are obeying the orders of the Court? The DOJ estimates that a million gang members operate in the United States in gangs such as MS-13, the Bloods, the Crips, Sur-13, Mexican Mafia, Latin Kings, Surenos, Kurdish Pride, and Mexican Posse most of whom are here illegally, and commit 80% of the crime in the US.
Been here for 30 years so I guess they came the same way others do. Wasn't the point though, now was it? Point is when will they be removed as Trump "promised"?
The party to whom I was replying asked the question. Your response just demonstrates your own ignorance, and intolerance, for the beliefs of others.
I'm neither ignorant nor intolerant of the views of others. It's the other way around. I've had to live with Blue Laws and laws based on the Christian's view of the world acquired through the Bible. I've yet to see an atheist or agnostic in Congress, the White House or SCOTUS, and there are laws on the books in some states that don't allow atheists to even run for office. When I accepted my Army commission, I was counseled by a senior officer not to put "atheist" down as my religion as I would be subjected to institutional prejudice that was adversely impact my career.
That's funny since Wiccans have been allowed to have separate rituals on military bases for years. As to the members of Congress, etc., I doubt you know of the views of all members, and I guess you don't know that there are no religious requirements for any office. In fact, when I am asked on any form as to my religious preference I leave it blank. And while I do not agree with many of the tenets of the religious right, such as their support for Trump, or their lack of support for homosexuals (another story that does not support the activities of the homosexual community just as I do not support adultery) the attitude you expressed was based on ignorance, and intolerance, for the Christian faith. "Live and let live". No sense in commenting negatively on a subject for no other reason then being adversarial. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/19/atheists-in-congress_n_3944108.html
My service time likely predates the new all-embracing Army of One. https://news.vice.com/article/atheists-are-banned-from-holding-public-office-in-seven-us-states I was raised in a Southern Baptist household so I'm fairly conversant with the tenets and practices of the Christian faith. The only intolerance I have for it is when Christians try to use it as the basis for laws or acceptable behavior. I feel the same way about all religions, so I'm not picking on Christianity.
Never seemed to be a lack of guns in minority areas like Chicago. If Trump's election pushes minorities to purchase guns legally, shouldn't that make gun grabbers happy?
Only housewives, and those obeying the orders of the Court. Have not seen even one "Bad Hombre" deported that Trump said would be first. Just "soft targets".
Funny how your type of "informed" individual appear to be completely ignorant of what is going on, and yet think you do not listen to MSM news. Then by all means post where ICE has deported any dangerous criminals like those with MS13, MS 18, Trinitarios, or the Barrio Azteca. http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/3/3/14801474/ice-detain-deport-immigrant
