Then you have pretentious and arrogant liberals that ridicule people who work with their hands and do the work that they are likely not physically capable of doing. Work that society depends on in order to run.

But remember folks, they apparently care about the poor and middle class. What a joke.

This is silly. Most kids want to grow up and be adults, but there's a learning curve. Its not easy being and adult.

I always thought that queer of them, and to also note: the contractors would say that white Americans were no good, ironic considering he is a white American..

I tried in my major, but preferred being independent of working for someone else, and was self employed for 30 years..

The baby boomer generation is solely responsible for destroying this country. They have had control of the white house for the past 24 years, and post Trump will have had it for 28-32 years.

The baby boomers have demolished the economy, ruined the job prospects of both Gen X and milennials. The Baby Boomer Generation is the most greedy, self centered, hypocritical and evil generation in the history of mankind.

We will be much, much better off when they finally pass on to whatever afterlife they believe in.

Deflecting this onto the new generations is hysterical. The boomers are responsible for destroying wage increases, inflated education costs, inflated medical costs, and our generally non-advancement when it comes to social, economic and geopolitical policy.

    ****. Them.

    It goes back a ways...

I became an adult early. Some aspects I did master, but in other ways I was still wet behind the ears at 40. I remember one of my sons was about 35, married with beautiful children saying to me, "Mom, its sometimes hard being an adult". I can relate.

These gasbags that say millennials this way or that way are tiresome.

    Absolutely WRONG.

Anecdote will NEVER invalidate statistical analysis in relevancy.

Not mine.. They have good manners and have respect for authority as well as the elderly.. Not just respect.. they are kind. I think luxury is relative to me. I didn't have a dryer, dishwasher, color TV or disposal when I married.

Bachelor's in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

I've been employed full-time since graduating in 1990.

Old mules aren't scared of breaking a sweat and getting dirt under their hoofs.

One observation I've made observing millennials, they don't know how to work or how to work using their hands.

Well, part of the problem is the scam that is higher education in this country. People go to school and pile up debt they can't possibly pay back. BUT, there are ways to get an education without getting into massive debt. Not for profit colleges are out there that offer useful degrees (that are fully accredited) at a fraction of the cost of for profit colleges. There is still the myth that you must be educated to be a fully productive member of society and the for profit colleges take advantage of that.

But there is also the problem with millennials thinking that they are "special" (caused by their upbringing) and should get a trophy just for participating. I am so glad, I grew up an "X'er", but X'er parenting is the problem.

Yeah.. we could go back to the idyllic life of the 1950s... The only thing that is certain is change.

I had to start supporting the family at 14, so I had too early of a start..I made sure none of my kids had to go through that..

This is a very real thing. The American Delusion. Work hard, get a "good education.." blah blah blah. It's all garbage. Our education system is total BS. What do you learn in HS?? What useful thing do you learn??

You learn a LOT about mitochondria and how great the US is. Very little about finance, credit and loans. Balancing life, good basic skill sets. All absent. JUST GO TO COLLEGE! Learn more there! Again, all useful crap you'll probably never use. All the meanwhile, you're indebting yourself with loans you won't see until the bills come in.

College is the great scam for us millenials. It's worthless and flat out negligent. You can't expect a kid who's never had to be financially responsible to flip a switch and do so once they're out and payments are needed. This is great for the institution... youget drsperate workers for cheap. It sucka for us.

Anecdote - graduated college with high honors in chemistry in 2005. Was a quantum mechanics prodigy - smart as hell. No freaking work at all. Nothing. After 3 years of barely making it with help from parents I stumbled on a masters program in anesthesia. I got lucky. Most others aren't. Point is most college is MASSIVELY OVERPRICED for what you get. Masters is becoming the same.

What I posted is completely true based strictly on economics and political changes over the past 30 years. The baby boomers have absolutely gutted this nation with their wealth theft and their conservative politicking. They are solely responsible for destroying this nation and the prospects many young people have for employment.

Thanks to them both parents now have to work.

Thanks to them the promise of an equitable retirement for americans my age is now nothing but a Ponzi scheme enriching themselves.

    Excusing this behavior is un-American.

    It isn't a Left/Right thing.

And any attempt to blame it on "The Left" is ludicrous and not worthy of being taken seriously.

There are just as many millennials who voted for Trump who are slacking off of their rich parents.

It is really just a generational thing that has little to do with political ideology.

    Welcome to 2017.

Has nothing to do with the Baby Boomers absorbing every cent of wage increases, siphoning every cent of social support structures, and demanding a Ponzi scheme for themselves and their benefit only. In addition their willingness to consume consume consume created an impossible demand culture. Women becoming educated doesn't mean that wages should go down. It should result in increased marketplace competition and an increase in salaries.

How would I stop it? By stopping this nonsensical "age discrimination" bs and allowing employers to force retirement for people who are 65, as well as disallowing any social security payments, pension or 401k disbursements to anyone who then tries and get a second job.

If you want to retire, retire. As it stands the baby boomers aren't retiring and not working. They are either working forever or retiring and then taking entry level jobs denying our youth any real workplace options.
