The North Koreans have threatened us with nuclear war. Only a Leftist nutcase would think we shouldn't take those threats seriously and do something about them.

you do know satellite is moving out of orbit every 10+ hr, and by the time it came back, the MLRS/artillery already move to other place, and its impossible to find and destroy all 4000+ artillery pieces spread across DMZ within an hr. + find and attack all the other shor-mid range missiles etc etc. it need something range of 10,000 cruise missile + jet attack afterward, even then there will be misses. the 1st sign of attack NK will fire off its artillery toward seoul.

The US had nuclear warheads for its 8"/203mm guns. The Brits, Germans, Dutch, Belgians, Turks and Greeks also had gun crews trained to fire those warheads.

I doubt North Korea's current technology would allow them to develop a linear implosion device.

You can park a reconnaissance satellite in geo-synchronous orbit, where it sits over the battlefield looking down with infrared and thermal imaging. The threat of North Korean artillery is grotesquely over-stated.

There are two nutjobs playing chicken. One malignant narcissist and one ruler of North Korea. If it wasn't so pathetic it would be entertaining.

But the gun type were never tested after firing through the tube. There were only three static tests.

Seoul is defended by this expensive missile defense system from America, for which Trump asked South Korea to pay. It's going to be like Iron Dome in Israel, which is a mobile all-weather air defense system that effectively intercepted all Hamas rockets. I don't worry too much about South Korea.

We've been here before mate. You can't do dick against them in an hour. You be lucky to get 30% of them in 6 months.

They have this... or they want this?
I suggest to you that they don't have this and that if they do it doesn't have enough ammo to shoot down 10,000 artillery rounds.

That it is planned but not completed.

All they need is a transit van.

They could even ship a nuke to America by container.

Low urnaium based warheads? They have chemical and biological weapons that are far more dangerous. I think they can hit LA with it.

A Korean reunification would be more likely if the US withdrew its troops and stopped firing ICBMs from California that splash down a 1400 miles from Pyongyang:

    https://www.sofmag.com/minuteman-iii-launches-from-vandenberg/

    "MINUTEMAN III LAUNCHES FROM VANDENBERG..."

"Airmen from Minot and Vandenberg Air Force bases conducted an operational test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III missile. Today’s test launch used an intercontinental ballistic missile pulled randomly from a silo on Minot, which was then transported and reassembled at Vandenberg, and launched by crew members from 91st Missile Wing. The ICBM was equipped with a test reentry vehicle, and traveled approximately four thousand two hundred miles to a test range near the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. ICBM test launches verify the accuracy and reliability of the weapon system, providing valuable data to ensure a safe, secure and effective nuclear deterrent."

Today Vietnamese celebrate the day of victory in the war over the American invaders. Maybe you will congratulate the Vietnamese on their holiday?

By the way, you not know when Koreans celebrate a similar holiday?

    That was done long ago:

    "THE SEA OF FIRE

Even without nuclear weapons, North Korea has an ace in the hole. Most experts believe its claims to have enough conventional firepower from its artillery units to devastate the greater Seoul area, South Korea's bustling capital of 24 million. Such an attack would cause severe casualties — often estimated in the hundreds of thousands — in a very short period of time.

Many of these artillery batteries are already in place, dug in and very effectively camouflaged, which means that U.S. and South Korean forces cannot count on being able to take them out before they strike. Experts believe about 60 percent of North Korea's military assets are positioned relatively close to the Demilitarized Zone separating the countries."

They can deliver enough artillery shells and rockets (including ones with chemical payloads) to Seoul as to make it a giant mass grave.

Do you think the people of Seoul say that is "worth it"?

North Korea has some 30,000 artillery pieces along the border with the South, a considerable number of them aimed at Seoul.
