ya, but troll is such an overused accusation. its like 'racist' or 'hippy.' It just doesnt have an effect due to ppl applying it to whomever disagrees with them. I prefer to use the longhand
and has been happening for quite some time...as evidenced by the growing chorus of states supporting just the opposite of the moronic beliefs of the BM
I don't know how...you are the rebuttal to your own argument due to lack of facts...you appear to be the poster child of lack of facts. But that's just me. OH BTW how is that train going.....you know the one where the BM folks are getting their rear ends handed to them?
Yes ! We currently have limited National reciprocity for qualified Retired Law Enforcement under LEOSA, and it has worked exceptionally well, now if we can get that for all Citizens, it would indeed be a good thing !!!!
National Reciprocity I suspect will happen given GOP control over both houses, a majority of Govenors, state legislatures and the POTUS stating his support of 2A rights. I have concealed permits from two states that given state to state reciprocity, alllows me to carry in 40 states, all but the bastions of the states that are notorious for infringing on 2A rights...would be nice to be able to carry in the remaining 10.
Isn't that the greatest? He never has to see factual posts! He can just see the messages from people that agree with him. It's a real sign of maturity.
I wouldn't exclude him. Seems he is taking steps to potentially save the lives of his family and himself.
And if he is law abiding, sane and trained then he should have one. And if he isn't he shouldn't be near a gun
I see the usual fallacy of someone saying: "Cops are trained" and I just cringe. I served as a LEO and am well aware of just how "well-trained" most of them are... and if people knew just how incompetent most police were with their sidearms they'd have a stroke.
three years ago, the Ohio "Police Olympics" were held in SW Ohio and the pistol and rifle events at a club where I and my family were shooting a "steel match" that was a monthly event on Wed mornings. The police who were at that club were invited to shoot for free in the steel match since it was taking place right before one of their events and almost all of them did. Now these were the guys who were the top pistol shooters for their departments throughout the state (I was eligible as Recently retired DOJ but I didn't bother). So my then 16 year old son-who is slightly built and was about 5-6 at the time was competing. A SWAT officer from Northern Ohio, who we had never met, asked the RO (a local officer with the sheriff's department) if "that kid is any good with that gun". And the Deputy said-that kid will crush everyone here-only his father can probably beat him. And the SWAT guy said "really"? and the Deputy said-it won't be close (he had shot with these guys in one of the events the previous day). Sure enough, Turtle Jr drew and shot-hitting all 6 plates reloaded and did it again in about 5 seconds. I beat him by a second. the nearest cop was several seconds slower. SO the SWAT guy comes up to me and says-how much does your kid shoot? and I said, about 10K rounds a year since he was seven. And the cop said, that yearly amount was probably more than he ever shot in his ten years as a cop.
LOL! Yeah, the agency I worked with authorized fifty rounds A MONTH for practice, AND they forbade us firing anything but the duty-grade ammo in our sidearms. I actually invested in a functionally identical personal pistol I could train with without offending the agency armorer, and reserved my issue sidearm for carry and function testing with the duty ammo. Everyone else on my shift had absolutely atrocious qualifying scores - most barely shooting minimum - and I kept shooting possibles. And I actually had a supervisor tell me I shouldn't shoot perfect scores, because an attorney could argue I should have shot the gun out of a would-be assailant's hands.
If guns are so evil then how do you explain the fact that the cities and states with the most gun laws, like New York and Chicago, have the highest crime rate while the states with the least gun laws, like Texas, have the lowest crime rate? Just look at us Europeans, we have practically outlawed guns and last year a bunch of psychopaths still managed to kill hundreds of people with guns. In fact more people die of mass shootings in the EU than in the USA. Your argument against guns is purely emotional, not factual. So how about you stop destroy your people's civil liberties and last defence against government tyranny just because of your precious feelings?
I am an instructor/RSO at a municipal range that is owned by four public agencies. Yes, there are a few cops that can shoot but a vast majority do not practice on their own. I will say, at least the group I see on our range, I would never want to get between a Federal Air Marshal, his/her 357Sig. and the intended target. Every one of them are scary good.
