I think there is great diversity of opinions and subforums here - there is something for everyone.

I personally would prefer a place where everyone is of opposite opinion to me than one where everyone agrees with me. Afterall, the whole purpose of a forum is to have discussions and maybe learn something new.

As far as English speaking platforms go, this place is quite unique with it's broad range of topics and high activity and there are very few places that can compete (trust me, I have Googled 'round alot).

They messed up when they changed the format as it is hard to read as well as difficult to negotiate and NOT user friendly.

But hey I am in Hawaii getting ready to hit the beach very early so....LOL!!!

I think that has more to do with Donald Trump winning the election, TBH. The new format is great and will attract more posters. It is very user friendly once you get the hang of navigating. It's much, MUCH better. It's also MUCH faster.

 

It is faster but it is cold in the sense that being able to convey feelings and emotions was MUCH easier on the old forum.

Hey I am well aware that many things about the old forum were slow and out dated but this cookie cutter everyone uses as a format is just annoying.

As far as Trump winning and YES I did vote for that crazy SOB because Hillary is a criminal after what happened in Benghazi and I KNEW several of the men who both lived and died at the CIA Compound and at that INSANELY STUPID U.S. Temporary Embassy because WE TOLD THEM...them being the F@KING STATE DEPT.........DO NOT SET UP AN EMBASSY THERE EVEN TEMPORARILY.......welll Hillary was the one that CONVINCED POTUS not to do anything.

So what is different about conveying your emotions now from before?

 

Well I almost died again...twice.

Poisoning and I am in Hawaii being routed through my protected setup back home and I am waiting to head West with a vengeance.

I have actually been clinically dead for a short time before the great guys on that Blackhawk MEDEVAC brought me back and I had been shot 3 times but the vest saved me......but still the poisoning.....most painful thing imaginable.

It changes you.

You look forward to coming back to familiar things.

I see so many members gone.....it sickens me.

I am headed back to do really nasty things YOU could never understand and even if I told you about what I am about to do you would probably be too scared of me to even talk to me.

I agree that the old layout felt more like home, but I guess we will just have to accept that we live in a progreasive aociety; it is 2017 ffs!

I think he is talking about the "how are you feeling today?"-option that gave you a stupid emoticon next to your name. Many users were playing with that tool, I personally never liked it.

 

I used the drunk one SEVERAL times... Usually followed by hungover for a day or so...
