'The number of concealed carry permits in the United States has topped 15 million over the last year, according to data collected by the Crime Prevention Research Center.' If I remember correctly ,last year there were 14.5 million permits nation wide, so the numbers are growing.Women and minorities seem to be driving this right now,and that's good. Black women make up one the largest demographics of new firearms owners. Heard about this locally and this is the first article I found with a search. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/27/black-women-guns-classes-racism-trump
and then there is this : http://www.freep.com/story/news/loc...d-up-annual-event-taylor-gun-range/335140001/ 700 women signed up for annual event at Taylor gun range
In my state, in any given group of 100 adults in malls, stores, on the street... any legal carry place, there are likely 15 with guns... no one seems to be overly aware or concerned. The vast majority of Americans are non violent and law abiding, I personally find having more carrying guns for protection against those that would prey against citizens a good thing.
Your point? nothing you said debunks my statement. All I said that I'm glad that more people are carrying.
My point was that the more people carrying, the less crime there will be. I thought that was obvious.
Crime rate has gone down while permits and gun sales are going up. Also States with lax gun laws on average has less violent crime.
You know something. Computer use has gone up while the crime rate has gone down. New England patriot wins have gone up while crime rate has gone down. I give tom brady the credit. LOL
Recently we have had a flood of women and Asian's in our basic pistol and carry classes. Since Obama was kicked out of the White House, permits are up and gun prices have trended downard. National reciprocity bills are in congress. All great news for gun owners.
Because they aren't disturbed equally. We have States like California with the strictest gun laws and yet their violent crime rate is higher than the national average. Then we have democratically controlled cities and counties that also have strict gun laws and high crime rates.
