Slaves were BORN persons who should've had the rights other BORN persons had.... , the UNborn aren't persons so have no rights....

This reminds me of the first Gulf war. Iraqi soldiers allegedly entered a hospital in Kuwait, tore the place up, took the respirators and incubators from babies, and threw the babies on the floor.

It was shown later to all be bs. It was just a lie intended to vilify the Iraqi soldiers so our boys would be happy to kill them.

Why stop at conception? Every man produces millions of cells per day that are all potential life, so men are by induction committing millions of murders every day always.

The argument of birth, or third trimester or whatever is fairly arbitrary too, but its one we can sort of live with. Nothing magical happens when two cells get combined together and start splitting, just like nothing magic about the cells dividing in your fingernails. One set of cells is just a type that eventually turns into a sentient human.

The argument about the exact line is sort of like the drinking age, essentially meaningless, but just a best guess average that we are willing to accept. Nothing magic happens at 21 anymore than at birth or conception, but allowing abortion up to a certain point is better for children and society. Or I guess you could argue that government should pay for everything for all children, but I think a better society is one that allows the loss of a few clumps of cells here and there. That's just my opinion.

 

There is no evidence of the reincarnation of grasshoppers. However as the result of conception 360,000 human beings leave their mother's bodies. For a hypothesis to be proven there must be evidence/observations.

The magic of human life does indeed begin with conception. Falsify that.

 

That's the law. Before birth the fetus is connected to the woman, after it's born it's separate and able to live on it's own, that's the difference between born and unborn...and being a person with rights (born) and unborn(no rights)..,.

The title of the Thread is not truthful to begin with. It is not factual. My husband is a medical doctor and my degree us in biology and medical management. We are moderate Republicans. We believe in scientific fact. We believe in a higher being, god. I personally believe that once a fetus has a heart beat, it should not be aborted unless the mothers health is at risk or the fetus has problems that would keep it from living outside the womb. The title of the threads is a generalization. I could say that progressives approve of killing a fetus that is full term. Is that your position?

 

Compared to the alternatives like illness and/or death how can it be any less moral?

Why must a woman suffer and/or die because of a fetus?

Explain how that is "moral"?
