SUPREME COURT WILL REVIEW TRUMP TRAVEL BAN, ALLOWS IT TO TAKE EFFECT IN MOST INSTANCES

Not surprised that the liberal courts have been rebuked on their ban lifted almost intact and the Trump ban will go into effect until a full review in October.

This isn't a surprise. Didn't you think they were going to review it?

 

The Supreme Court has allowed the travel ban to go into effect for all those who lack a "bona fide" relationship with the United States. And the case will not be heard until October because the Government did not ask for expedited review. By the time the court hears the arguments, the 90 day review period will already be concluded and so the case may even be moot at that point - although the order retained the ability to extend the travel ban for more time and to more countries.

The amount of additional harm that will be imposed because of this ruling should not be underscored. Reduced travel and spending from foreign individuals into the United States is already estimated to result in $25 billion in lost economic opportunity over the next two years and this ruling will effectively reinforce the assumption that the United States is not welcoming.

 

It amazes me that so many liberal courts have been allowed to squash this Executive Order. Their interpretation of law is failed at best. Thank goodness for the Supreme Court on this one.

 

Knew this would be the outcome. Liberal Judge shopping tried to stall, and put Americans at risk...but it's well within the powers of the Presidency to do this.

It does beg the question that if this ban was so necessary in order to "review" vetting procedures, why didn't the trump administration order said review of procedures IMMEDIATELY?

 

The "Religion of Peace" takes a shot to the grill. This means no more new radicals can be imported from those countries. . Who was telling us this order was unconstitutional? Oh and, indefinitely suspend and extend the time and breadth.

And of course the subtext to this will be the tourist dollars lost as a result of his isolationist, wall-building stance. America will be the loser here. Business leaders (all those liberals), have already said, in no uncertain terms, that this could negatively impact their trade.

 

As predicted by literally every single non-partisan legal expert, the ban is legal. The law on this is so clear, it's flat ridiculous to have ever been tossed out by activist judges. I think Trump should remove these judges from the bench, for clear legal malpractice. If they can't understand one of the most clearly written laws in our nation, they are not intellectually up to the task of being a federal judge.
